@utensil42: I've never understood why a smart President is a bad thing. When did being a "man of the people" become more important than actual intelligence? #sarahpalin

@TheFormerJuneBronson: No kidding. I grew up outside Birmingham, AL (no jokes, please), and while I didn't have chickens in our front yard, it was still country. The south has a certain feel to it. If you've been stuck in LA for years, I completely believe that just being around a farm feels like home to her.
@kittens: God, I know. But how do you avoid it? I'm a small girl with an small waist and ample butt, which men comment on constantly. I feel that any body type is someone's "target audience". #tyramenobesewomen
@jdawgg297: Is there anything better than an old volvo station wagon? I love mine dearly. #michaellohanfaketwitter
I completely understand the author's thinking. I answer to pretty much anything, but I prefer Ms. Maiden Name or Mrs. Married Name. The one I hate is "Miss" - to me, it sounds condescending and infantilizing.
Aargh, sorry - deleted a double post.
@banana_grabber: I ended up in the ER last year with excruciating head pain, and was given a pelvic exam and told that I was "just stressed".
@hortense: Gosh, the glitch is really bad! I'll fix it for you: #cupcakesFTW #comments
@formergr: Well said. I have no problem with women expressing their sexuality, but the world of politics is fairly conservative. This photo (which I have a hard time believing was unintentional) could very well damage her professional reputation.
@Eleanor Ramilly: Um, I clearly don't understand the new process, as I clicked eagerly on your hashtag. I haz a confused, too. #commenterquips
@SleeplessNights: I had the same experience living in France. I've done catalog modeling in the US off and on for the past 10 years - as a size 4. I was approached in France to be a PLUS model at the same weight.
Denim Therapy is my favorite service EVER. They repair blue jeans, including ones that are just plain worn out, by reweaving the fabric. Much cheaper than new jeans! I've sent them my favorite pair twice now (the jeans are 10 years old and look great)
@Hooplehead: Without a doubt. This is unbelievable and so freaking man-centric. I got food-poisoning soon after my divorce, and my dear friend drove across town at 3am, took me to the ER, and sat with me for 7 hours. No man needed.
@ytuhermanotambien: I second that. I watched "Saved" again yesterday (awesome, highly recommended), and her daughter is badass. Clearly, like mother like daughter.
@ErinJane: Well said! Nursing takes a ton of schooling and training - it's not just a "backup plan" for girls who can't be manly doctors. That's ridiculously offensive to the women and men who work really hard as nurses.
I call bullshit on the Angelina story. First of all, beards FTW. Second, from everything I've read/heard of her, she really doesn't care much about appearance and image. I doubt their relationship is based on his stylish clothes.
Me too, Rivers.
@Ms. Take: Amen.
@Lulu82: Trust me, I do not walk like a little girl in heels. I feel very confident in them. I don't see how they infantalize me anymore than baby doll dresses or ballet flats.
I'm constantly baffled by the idea that wearing heels makes me a bad feminist. It's the same debate about makeup or feminine clothes. I like the freedom to wear whatever I damn well please. Sometimes it's Chucks, sometimes it's 4 inch fuck me heels (as my mom calls them!).
