All the little details are really cool (They even have car 911 in first place on the leaderboard!). I want to say I recognize the track layout, but I can’t place it. Anyone recognize it?
What a crappy TV schedule you got there, NBCSN. At least last year the daily shows were on at a mostly predictable time and half of them weren’t aired past midnight. And as of now it looks like these won’t be made available as a full event replay online, for some reason.
Sometimes the fans get involved as well:
This almost exactly outlines my feelings / thoughts / concerns about next year’s coverage. I would add to it, but you pretty much said it all perfectly (maybe you should have written the original article or have a follow up about this?)
I had the same issue! Nothing like a crisp space picture to motivate me to me to clean my monitor.
Here’s a better, less compressed version of the image:
typing ‘blank’ starts you over. ‘empty’ clears the objects
FYI, this offer will stick around for a while it seems: “Offer expires at 11:59 p.m. (PT) December 31, 2017.”

I could not find it, therefore I conclude that someone (looks suspiciously around the room) snuck in and ‘fixed’ it. They appear to have done a better job than the person who did this
I’m looking. No luck so far.
I didn’t mean to argue with you so much as show that the numbers are decently visible with the newly enforced rules. I think both sports do a good job at identifying drivers given what they have to work with. And both most definitely fill up the rest of the space with logos.
This was mandated by the FIA this season. While the name doesn’t have to be on the shark fin, it does have to be a certain size and be visible. You’re right though, it does make identifying the driver easier from all angles.
They do! What you posted is a paint scheme that’s not attributed to a driver. Most likely when they revealed the car design before the season started.
Just the other day I passed a car on the interstate and moved in front of him only to find that he was driving with high beams on and was now blinding me in my mirrors. I did my due diligence and blinked my lights off then back on again, and to my amazement he got the hint and turned off his high beams! Thank you,…
I really did not like the whole driver introduction thing. I think a lot of the reason I enjoy watching F1 is because it is not overly Americanized, overly dramatized, and overly produced. I want to watch good racing with good technology, the best talent, and the best tracks. I don’t want to spend time watching the…
I saw it as well. I’m pretty sure it was digital, just like the Heineken adverts around the track. A marketing stunt maybe? Promoting ... Texas? If so, I disapprove almost as much as I disapprove of the whole driver introduction mess. Almost.
If I were a neighbor and this was fired up down the block, I would run out and cheer with them. Sounds like a good time.
You know, I never even noticed the took it away until I saw you mention this. It was the only punting stat that I thought mattered as a kid, we used to go out in my back yard and have contests to see who could get the longest hang-time, which never ended in fights about how to time it and how long someone’s actual…
