I'm pretty sure it's a subtle nod to Passtime Paradise rather than the Coolio song. The lyrics to Stevie Wonder's song are reminiscent of the themes in Valerian and Laureline comics anyway: unrequited love, future civilisations, being space (AND TIME) agents.

I rewatched Nikita last night and Subway a bit before (all in anticipation for Valerian) and I agree, I think a space opera like this deserves a orchestral composer like Desplat. Eric Serra's music is a bizarre oddity, an oddity I love, but probably not appropriate for Valerian.

Wait… Eric Serra's not doing the score to a Luc Besson film?!

Maybe the sequel will be titled Laureline and The Something of Somethings…

Absolutely gorgeous new record.

TLW is certainly the strongest of the sequels (Yes, I'm looking at you Jurassic World). To think that people had issue with a gymnast kicking a raptor out a window… People went on and on about that scene as if it marred the entire movie, and then are all bowing before JW like its perfection.

Looks good. Don't hate on the Ancient-astronaut theory though, guys. How I see it is that the Ancient astronaut "theory" is like the mythology of the 21st century. It's a lot of fun to read fiction and non-fiction (like Sitchin's 12th planet) about the concept; and it's pretty interesting to imagine (key word -

Sure, but that shouldn't prevent people from making ANOTHER show about the same concept, does it?
