Wrong Wheel Drive (41%)

During the first week that I owned my Miata (yes a totally stock Miata with sub 140hp at the crank) I experienced the concept of too much power for my current skill set. This was the first RWD and first manual car that I had ever driven. The first time it rained, a 90 degree turn at a traffic light turned into a 135

What I dont get is that this guy chose the cammer to abuse. I find the guy to be 100% right in being mad about the situation but it is whoever is up front of the left lane parade who is at fault. This guy is still wrong to take on vigilante justice either way but I would at least sympathize with him if he went after

Holy shit, these people are literally insane! Now I don’t feel so bad for passive-aggressively flying past people who refuse to merge quickly or stay right on the highway. I find it especially hilarious in my glacially slow Miata blowing the doors off people that are just oblivious to traffic flow. And anyone that

I figured that might have been a UK thing? They are probably regulated differently there.

Oh yeah you are in a driving paradise down there! I was almost angry when I got home and the only “exciting” roads were the offramps on the interstate. I went through some withdrawals for a few days haha. Then I autocrossed like every weekend for a while just to get my driving fix satisfied.

Yeah thats a bit of a trek, but its all relative since I am all the way in NJ lol. A ton of other roads in the general area that were quite fun, and could be infinitely more fun if they would pave them eventually. I definitely went on some roads that I thought the pavement was going to eat my car but just some of the

Well I was comparing it to other roads in the area. There actually were pretty decent sight lines during the day around most turns there. Plus plenty of shoulder space to take tighter turns to stay away from the jerks nearing the center. At night was the only time I really got sketched out about seeing around the

I actually found that god damn normal cars were the absolute worst. Just people cruising through with one arm out the window and a crawling speed in a Toyota Camry and would blatantly cross the line every corner. Or the Harleys. Just careless.

They still end up there time to time though but at least they get fined for it for sure now.

After 5pm on any day (other than Friday probably) was really nice too. Even Saturday surprisingly. I think my cleanest run was actually around 630 or so on Saturday which confused me. My absolute favorite though was after midnight, that was such an experience. Top down, pitch black, and hearing the crazy people in the

From looking into that, it seemed too far from the Dragon to be worth it. There’s a ton of better stuff in NC. My absolute favorite was Wayah Road out near the Nantahala River at the other end of 129. Completely empty and in my opinion more scenic and challenging than the dragon.

Ehh, compared to some of the other roads in the area, the Dragon is actually rather easy to drive at the limit. Since there are no intersecting roads, elevation changes are minor, and the pavement is in really good condition, it is actually quite safe. I enjoyed other roads more just because the Dragon was always

Yup, I never lock the doors in my Miata out of the hopes that my top does not get cut. On any day where rain isnt in the forecast, I dont even shut the windows to further influence people to walk right in. If they really want to dig out the coins under my seats, they are doing me a favor through cleaning. Otherwise,

Clearly you arent being creative enough

I mean, when its actually cold out I cant really see out of my windshield if I dont warm up the car first. Having a working defroster is pretty useful in the morning. It has been dangerous the last few colder mornings since I have skipped the warm up phase. Normally in the dead of winter, I just use the time spent

Uhh that random red wire going into the fuse box seems quite frightening to me. It would appear that a fuse is being bypassed which could certainly cause dangerous things like wires melting and other things just not working. I would definitely want to fix whatever is going on there for sure.

Definitely this. Wiring all laid on a bench is really friendly to work with and I would actually rather deal with that than rusty bolts and mysterious fluid leaking. But since there is never a diagram for where electrical things actually go in the car, it’s such a pain to deal with.

Yeah, I really wonder why standard wipers are used in dry places like that. It truly does only rain a couple times a year so I feel like standard rubber wipers make no sense. They should make cheaper 1-use wipers or something haha.

But a lot of times delays are really out of the airline’s control. Shit happens and flights get delayed. It is why flying just sucks sometimes. This is why I always dedicate an entire day to flying someplace. I just accept that my flight could be delayed multiple hours and just show up no more than an hour ahead of
