Shit that car was used and abused! I definitely had to do a ton of maintenance when I owned a Honda but it was all over time. It seems like whoever owned this car prior skipped all of that maintenance and left it all for you to do at once. I definitely agree on how annoying the water pump is but it is not a bad idea

And additionally, the guys really found a way to bond with the cars sometimes. All I can think of about "good old top gear" is Hammond naming his car Oliver. I just found that hilarious.

So does that 35MPG+ go based on the EPA ratings or what the car actually gets? I imagine I could hypermile my Miata and get 35 without too much trouble.

Only time I have left a note on another car was a note that said “HAVE A NICE DAY”. I was parked on the street in a crowded town (Hoboken, NJ) and had parked on the end of a street and pulled up close to the guy in front of me since he had plenty of room in front to pull right out. Then there was like a foot of space

Where is the best place to buy both books in paperback? I have no interest in burning my eyes by trying to read from my tablet. And is it a real paperback or is someone just printing it out on some pages and stapling it together?

power to weight at least for sure!

well that’s good to know. It must just have been the flight I chose then. My only other concern is how the frequent flier program miles will combine. Ive got a solid 30,000 points on Virgin so I hope none of those disappear in the merger. Might try to use them before things get finalized.

The food part sounds awesome. I enjoy Southwest because they give you peanuts lol. But I definitely enjoy international flights to Europe because you usually get two meals and drinks. It was interesting flying on Norwegian (a budget airline) and not having a meal during the flight NY to Norway. I like that it saved

Yeah I think it is almost like a lottery. I don’t feel like I really do anything special but I seem to always have a fine time at the airport. I have been traveling NY to LA every other month or so for the past year. Maybe the airports (EWR and LAX) that I use aren’t that bad? Or I just get lucky? But I find that

Does that change for frequent fliers or loyalty program people? I suppose its a minor inconvenience but not being able to choose an aisle seat while booking is likely going to make me look at another flight in most scenarios. I like when I book with Virgin a few months ahead of time I can really sit anywhere on the

Really? To me it sounded like Alaska was really old fashioned whereas Virgin is kinda fresh feeling. I haven’t flown Alaska but I do have flight with them coming up for 4th of July, so I will be trying it out. I found it weird that I couldn’t pick an aisle seat though since they are all handicapped reserved. I only

Neutral: Pretty difficult to leave something in the backseat of my Miata but the worst thing I have left in my car has been the keys lol. I once just left my keys in the ignition (left in the ACC position so it didn’t ding) and went to class for a few hours. Thought I lost my keys but I found them right there ready to

2nd Gear: The solution to flying being shitty is to pick a better airline. Only problem with this is that some areas are only effectively served by one airline (monopolies are bad!). I fly on Virgin America as frequently as possible because every flight is great. Not just “not shitty” but actually great. I even will

You should go to Vienna, Austria. It is much worse there! You will have a real hard time finding a free toilet. Also, I feel like I have the same trouble in NYC though. Sure, they don’t have paid bathrooms but you most certainly wont find one that you can use without paying for service somewhere.

If I was not on vacation I would be outraged. Or if it was not in Europe. It is pretty common over there to do that. I just tried to plan ahead as much as possible and go when I could for free. But it was not worth it to suffer just to save $1.12.

Haha yeah I was fairly confused when I went to walk in a bathroom and there was a guy asking for 1 Euro standing at the door. At first I thought someone was running an elaborate scam but it turned out it was a legitimate business practice. At least the bathroom was rather clean and comfortable.

Nice article, I can definitely agree with what you are saying! When I went to school in Hoboken, NJ I really didn’t need my car but it was great having it. I could walk or bike everywhere in town, take an easy train into NYC or another train all the way home to my parents house. But I wanted to deal with the street

Firing guns in MGS3? You casual! You are supposed to CQC everybody, and use the cardboard box to get around as many people as you can.

I love that we are in a future now where saying that a car is a '14 and you have to wonder if he means 1914 or 2014. Welcome to the future!

Haha I am just being facetious about it somewhat. I definitely would be the first one to stop and help someone since that is just my character. But I also can’t stand stopping to ask for directions, even if it means hours of wandering around to figure it out myself. NY isn’t so bad and its easy to tell the shady
