Wrong Wheel Drive (41%)

Demolition derby’s are the best! You end up really rooting for a car and its often times an excellent fight to the finish. The people that get behind the wheel have to be insane to willingly crash into things but its certainly fun to watch.

Honestly, if I HAD to go to a dealer I would probably rather go to CarMax and pay more too (if they had the car I was looking for). But as always, my first step in car searching is to eliminate all dealers and only look at private sales. Little harder with newer cars though I suppose so CarMax would definitely be

I feel like kids make any option that includes traveling a nightmare. Could never do it and glad my girlfriend agrees on that point. But yeah if stuck in that situation, I would gladly fly no matter the cost just because getting it over with quicker would be ideal. If only your whole family's airline points could

Yeah I hadn’t really thought about splitting it, good point. I still think with lodging you wouldn’t come out ahead driving (unless you also include the cost of those 4 plane tickets and baggage and a rental car) then I could definitely see it still working. I guess time is the bigger factor just because I can fly

Yeah, I just haven’t seen a very in depth Miata vs FRS comparison. Maybe they aren’t really intended for the same customer? As much as I love the whole convertible thing, that is not the primary reason I chose a Miata lol. Once the 86 is old enough, I will definitely be looking for a used one. Just hope they aren’t as

Yup, hence why I think an FRS/BRZ would make a much better winter car. When its snowy and cold is when I would ideally want to keep my stuff inside and dry. Number one new car to me is definitely the FRS. It will be a cheap used car one day just like the Miata, which I look forward to.

Those drag racing early Dodge Caravans are great though!

Well driving across the country is actually more expensive than the flight. Most of my roundtrip flights (EWR-LAX) have been around $300-$400 depending on how soon I need the tickets. Just gas alone at 30 mpg over the 3000 miles distance at national average of $2.75 per gallon, would cost $275. You include wear and

Haha any of that is “possible” in a Miata if you are creative enough. But it is most certainly easier to do in the 86! I always enjoy how silly my Miata looks with my bike rack with my MTB on it or a huge suitcase on the luggage rack or a set of skis sticking out of the passenger side of the car. I think an FRS would

You test drive the BRZ before getting your NB? I am just curious how they compare as a fellow NB owner. No interest in car payments right now but after sitting in an FRS, I really want one in the future.

You ever see the crazy people that take the doors off of their Cherokees too? Always makes me laugh but I realize its definitely something I would do in the same situation! Would probably be more difficult to remove them without opening them first though lol.

Couldnt you just remove the doors to get your keys?

Found one for under $10k. Replaced engine so that could be fun! 161k miles on the trans and body so that might be a little sketchy.

Yeah, here is a good example of an S2000 in my area costing a lot more. Its obviously got lower miles than the linked one but its not super low. Nearly $20k!

Yup, definitely on point. The s2000 is unquestionably a better car than a Miata if you ignore pricing. Cost to quality ratio is probably the number one thing that makes the Miata go to the top of many lists. I will definitely own an s2000 one day but I expect to be paying $15k+ minimum for anything decent.

I literally learned on the way home from buying my Miata. It had 125k miles and the original clutch so I knew that no matter what I did, I would most likely be replacing the clutch eventually anyways. I often shifted from 2nd to 5th gear (instead of 3rd) and I did not do any downshifting. Thankfully I did this midday

LE Adjustable Focus CREE LED Flashlight.

Terrible sequel, but definitely gotta be an expensive car wreck in the real world.

Haha unfortunately if you click on the more info link, it shows one of the installed options as “automatic transmission”. Bunch of bullshit! Plus a 100 mile per day restriction (and $0.50 per mile afterwards)

This seems pretty affordable for some of these. They have a convertible mini cooper s with a manual! That would be pretty sweet for that ride. $129 a day could be reasonable if fees aren’t crazy and unlimited miles.
