Jaime is leaving to (attempt to) kill Cersei, but doesn’t want Briene to go with him because he knows he’ll be killed, and so would she.

Pretty sure Jaime had to White Fang Brienne so he could go back to King’s Landing and kill Cersei.  He’s not being a dick, he just wants her to stay safe at Winterfell.  That’s my hopeful theory, because Brienne deserves way better than what this episode and entire show has given her.
