I live in LA and just got a dash cam. While the chance I will come remotely close to topping this level of LA driver insanity is pretty low, I am already looking forward to capturing many hours of glorious, glorious road rage.

As long as that’s the mentality, go for it. Anyone expecting to drive this more than 5,000 miles without breaking out the bank account has their sights set too high, though. It's easy to forget these cars are now approaching 25 years old. That's an old car. An old, complicated German car.

Eh, CIS is going to be pretty far down the laundry list if you ask me. There are a lot more common issues likely to crop up before that simply because of the car’s age. I had the injectors and O2 sensor replaced on my W124 when I still had it because I heard about all the finicky little problems CIS can have and it

As a former W124 owner: lolnope. CP. Run away.

Porsche really should just drop the innuendo and put anchor decals and some chromed rope hooks on this thing. The rims can be shaped like a ship’s wheel! And the rear deck lid can be polished teak. The frunk comes equipped with a life preserver! And special Porsche Exclusive 46-position Captain’s Chairs with little

It’s interesting if nothing else. So, does it actually perform? I assume this is set up as an... autocross car? Guessing it can’t be tracked without the hood, right?

No. People on the internet pretending to buy the Focus RS care about the Focus RS’s snow performance.

Yes, the plastic is actually that color. The reason they do this is so there's no paint to chip or peel off. It's definitely a trademark Playmobil thing, wouldn't be surprised if they have IP relating to the formulation / molding / texture.

Because you will be able to drive the M6, give or take, 365 days out of the year, as many miles as you want, anywhere you want, provided the “where” has gasoline.

I am also in LA. FR-S/BR-Zs really are surprisingly prolific here. It’s weird. Nothing wrong with an autobox on a handling car, IMO. It’s still a net plus that Scion is introducing new people to the whole “sports car” thing, and that’s good for enthusiasts who want choices down the road. Can’t sell ‘em if nobody buys

Really? Most of the people I see in these cars now are young, and a surprising number of them are women. Scion isn’t having an easy time moving them and I think lease / finance offers on them are very attractive at this point, so they’re bringing in a lot of non-traditional sports car buyers looking for a deal.

What’s major about shocks and springs? They may provide a major performance improvement, but mechanically, these are easily swappable - and arguably deliberately so - components that have a big aftermarket for exactly that reason. They aren’t even that expensive, all things considered. It’s not like they’re getting in

Yeah, all Benzes are like that re: the vents. Everyone thinks it’s broken and Mercedes makes crap HVAC routing, but that’s working as intended. Mercedes for whatever reason did not want heat coming out of those vents - probably some kind of engineering decision, I imagine.

Possible the temp sender was faulty, which is relatively common on older Benzes. It definitely is odd for one of these to die so young, but not unheard of. As was said, whatever happened was likely catastrophic and inherently unusual.

Probably an unfortunate and unexpected overheat. Radiator hose may have catastrophically failed, water pump, or thermostat. Not an expert on this particular engine, but I know that’s how vintage MB diesels tend to die.

This is amazing. As a non-rider, one of the most intimidating things about bikes is the dudebro / hardcore culture that has gravitated to them over the years, or at the very least the perception that it has (and I am not saying that’s every or even close to every biker! Of course it’s not). Seriously, un-tense your

Who is coming from downtown Los Angeles, exactly? Los Angeles is gigantic. People on the west side go to LAX, people in the SFV have Burbank, people in south bay have Long Beach, people in OC have John Wayne. We have four reliable domestic airports in LA. Your point is that one route - going from Downtown or the east

Meandering text wall incoming. The purple and green thing has a strong nostalgia factor for WoW fans. I remember playing in high school and doing low-level PvP in Ashenvale, which bears a large resemblance to this new zone, and then I hear the calming music and think of monotonous grind of mining or farming leather -

‘01? Well, it’s young enough that it probably hasn’t developed any particularly bad low mile deterioration, unless it sat for multiple years at a time without being driven at any point. And this R129 was at the very end of the model run, so it should have most of the kinks worked out.

Breaking: ND Miata makes child smile, ends world hunger, cures cancer, has annoyingly flimsy air vents.
