Saying the G-Class is "timeless" in the way of a 911 is a bit misleading. The 911 really did evolve a lot over the years, even through the 70's and 80's. The design is timeless, but the car modernized a lot underneath the sheet metal.

Yeah, this is definitely a 220S. These Ponton body cars are such a pain in the ass to identify without badging sometimes, though, unless you see a lot of them.

There's a reason for that. Supercar maintenance costs for something that in no way actually performs like a supercar, nor has the prestige of one. Don't get me wrong, I love the V8 Vantage - the looks, the sound, the concept.

Re: 4. This is good advice, but as the section sort of starts to suggest itself, too much detail in a classified ad (even photos!) - or any other site where the buyer will come physically inspect the car and drive it - is a major turn-off to most people.

I'm not a big Mazda guy, like, at all, but the RX-8 has to be one of the most flubbed cult-classic relaunches in history. It had everything going for it, at least on paper - a revamped rotary powerplant, super cool flush rear passenger doors, decent looks, and it was called RX-8.

I feel bad for the person selling this car. They took great care of it, to the point of near absurdity, probably because either A.) they genuinely loved it, or B.) they expected that, like most Porsches, it would appreciate over the years if it was preserved.
