I love a good straight six, but there was no denying the huge improvement in low RPM powerband / torque the V6's brought when Mercedes switched over, first in the W210.

Steelies.

This thing has to be totally undriveable. 425BHP at the front wheels?

I hope his name was Johnny Dangereaux.

Alright, you have my attention.

*$10 grand for warrantied (3 year / 36k mile) internal modifications and tuning by arguably the most respected tuning house in America. You're not just buying the go-fast, you're buying the reputation and peace of mind.

Next week: polio or smallpox?

It's British.

Humane and sanitary, I would suggest two solutions:

LAX is probably the ugliest airport in America, at least that I'm aware of. I bet it was pretty spiffy in the 70's though.

Is it me or is the ad full of video artifacting and crazy-bad upscaling problems? I'm watching it in 1080p and it looks terrible.

"Sorry officer, I wasn't racing that guy to the offramp, I was just commuting aggressively."

I see what you did there.

I'm pretty sure, along with the rest of the commentariat it seems, that there is not a FWD CLA45. I believe I read somewhere a while back that it would only be offered in 4Matic trim, for the obvious reason that a FWD version would be holy mother of torque-steering balls crazy.

It's a Ford Fusion 6 Series Grand Coupe Infiniti A7!

Price conversions are pretty meaningless on things like cars, I've found. They're priced to market, shipping cost, and the competition. I expect if Mazda were to sell this vehicle in the US, it'd be under $35,000.

A comment you would only read on Gizmodo.

It's misleading. The NEDC calculations for fuel economy are nothing like the EPA's. The US has a more aggressive, faster test (read: uses more gas). Take a converted European combined mileage rating (in this case, 50MPG), and slice off a good 20-30% to get the real figure. It's more like 35-40MPG most likely, so still

Yeah, they're converted, but they are US gallons, I checked. The 420d isn't sold in the US, though, so there's no reason for it to have a CAFE mileage rating. And, as we know, the NEDC rating has a lower average speed and lower throttle usage than the CAFE rating. A good rule of thumb seems to be take off 20-30% of

50 combined MPG? That's insane. WHY CAN'T WE HAVE NICE THINGS?
