What do you expect from an Iowa Writers' Workshop reject?

A suppressor will substantially reduce the noise from the muzzle blast, but if the bullet is supersonic it will still create a sonic boom, which is probably what we're hearing in that video. Using subsonic ammunition can bring the noise down quite a bit, even without a suppressor.
