This is a fair mistake, but Catskill is different from 'the Catskills'. The Catskills in general are great and have lots of hiking/camping/wilderness to boot. Catskill, on the other hand, is Hudson's neighbor across the Rip Van Winkle bridge and is a shithole.

'Peasants'? Am I in the presence of Instagram's one and only Lavish?

Yep. It has such a weird vibe to it as well. Part shit-hole, part extravagant hipster snobbery. It's the worst (actually, Catskill is worse, but whatevs).

People die from cars a lot because people are driving all the time. Almost everyone in America is on the road at some point during every day. Jail time for speeders is insane, especially when a) speeding laws are so discretionary in their enforcement as to be confusing (sometimes going 78 in a 65 is OK, sometimes 32

But they're tweeting. How are they supposed to convey a ridiculously convoluted contract through a tweet? Should they just say 'Dalton signed a contract'?

Not only that, but the customer apparently would specifically request 'hand-squeezing'. I'd rather search for a flag in a vat of Family Double Dare ooze than hand-squeeze the mayo out of someone's coleslaw.

If I owned a restaurant, I would charge extra for foods I disliked on a proportional scale based on how much I hated the food in question. Needless to say, only sheiks and foreign dignitaries could eat blue cheese at my fake establishment.

If I ever have to barf on cue, that 'bowl of blue cheese' story will serve me well.

You open it up. . .No Grapes! No Nuts! What's the deal?

Got to agree with crazyjoedavola. The Colon signing has been fine and could potentially get them a good prospect. The CY signing might have been a for a little too much money, but it's only a one year deal so who cares?

The correct answer is, 'who cares what it's called if you like it?'

That happens pretty often in poker—especially professionals—on bad beats. Only true dickheads/novices don't show a little sympathy in tournaments.

No probs, not a big deal. Just figured I'd mention it as they're very interesting.

A little odd that you didn't mention Eno's Oblique Strategies. They're all about staying fresh, creative, and productive by trying new things. Also check out the Wikipedia entry for 'synectics', which influenced Eno a great deal.

'assfedora' can't be too far off.

STARSZZZZZ for 'tedious assberet'. Such a fitting description.

And you, who is mocking someone for providing concrete reasons for not seeing a dumb movie and also lamenting that an actor is dead, sound like a basket fulla ripe peaches.

I usually tip just slightly below what I'd tip in a normal place (I tip 20-30%+ at normal places). Sure, the waitstaff might have an easier job (ie just taking drink orders, but they also have to quickly remove more plates), but, as a buffet goer myself, I feel like the asshole/cheapskate quotient is a little higher

First, if he 'takes homers when he knows he can get them', then he is a demigod. Second, your other sentence is true about every hitter. The reason Ichiro is being discussed is because there's this weird (and, imo, false) myth about him being able to hit tons of HR if only he wanted to. Like I said before, if he can

Movie reviews are supposed to be subjective. If you want objectivity, read IMDB's plot synopsis.
