The easiest solution is to have the direct flights cost no more than the connecting flights.

It says them a few bucks on fuel by having a slightly lighter plane too.

I can’t fathom why somebody would voluntarily buy a house with an HOA.

They do this? The ONLY time a connecting flight was held for me was when a gate agent called ahead for me.

It should be perfectly legit to book the flight with the layover and tell the airline “I’ll just book the flight to New York and stay in Charlotte””

Go watch the last week tonight segment on it. There are a lot of things at work with HOA’s and why they exist. I am personally not a fan and wouldn’t live in one unless it was super limited in powers.

AA sucks to fly (have had some awesome flight crews and flight attendants but the ground side has been utterly abysmal) and CLT has made ATL seem like a downright pleasure to go through lately.

The only time they make sense to me is when people own condos and they are attached to other people’s condos. Then there is a vested interested to make sure what the neighbor is doing doesnt effect my property. But otherwise it just doesnt make any sense to me.

This is almost as unamerican as HOAs. If someone buys something, it is theirs to do with as they please. They can use it, or they can not use it, but the seller shouldn’t be able to force them to do anything, otherwise they shouldn’t be selling the thing.

I am willing to bet this airline is not going to punish you, refund you, or care in any way whatsoever if you book a direct flight and don’t show up for it. They’ll gladly take your money without skipping a beat, and they shouldn’t care here either about a flight that was paid for but not attended.

I couldn’t agree more. I did something like this many years ago when trying to get from Oslo to Vienna for a reasonable price. It was a bit different though - a round trip was cheaper than a one-way trip so I booked the round trip and didn’t take the flight back to Oslo.

An empty seat is a ticket unsold to the money minds who make air travel tick.

The property looks perfectly neat and presentable from the streets. This is not at all the type of car hoarder with cars on cinder block all across the front yard, etc. This is clearly a guy who takes care to keep his house presentable.

The Supreme Court has been openly hostile to the Fourth Amendment for a long time now, unfortunately.

For some reason, kinja isn’t letting me scroll far enough down to reply to your next comment. But The FAA defines “navigable airspace” as the airspace at or above the minimum altitudes of flight.

Now I’m no fancy, big-city lawyer, but I think this is a pretty obvious violation of the fourth amendment.

Well, GE images are only updated every 1-36 months so there is a wide range of time it may not be accurate.

You would think they could just make a family qr code that does one parent and all kids with a single scan

Up until a couple years ago I had a shoebox with boarding passes from every flight I'd ever taken. You never know when you might need an alibi.

I absolutely use paper when I have my kids. When its just me, whatever doesnt take too much... but trying to juggle two under 10's and myself and my wife.. fuck you I am using paper so I dont have to struggle filling through the boarding passes on my phone, not to mention its not like they dont just do the SAME thing
