The Vanos and Oil pump are what scare me. I hear one of the 4 oil pumps are notorious. The SMG is what has made me broke.

I currently have an E60 with the S85. I agree, the S65/85 are legendary, but not without their share of problems. While I’ve had no engine troubles, just transmission problems, the S85 scares the hell out of me, in regards to long term reliability.

I was shocked to discover how low the torque output was on the S65 was, and it left me wondering if that would put a damper on the fun.

I have a 2011 e92 comp package. It’s up there with my S2000 as the best driver’s car I’ve ever owned. Downside it does feel heavy and the interior even with the carbon trim feels insubstantial compared to the A4 I had before. Oh yeah and the cops in CT and NY like to pull you over. Still, it looks the nuts and I still

I owned an e90 m3 for 7 years too. i agree on the weight and low torque but never had a problem enjoying it as a daily driver. i racked up 55kmi on its before trading it in and loved every mile of it. did i shift less often because the low end torque sucked and hearing that v8 (with an aftermarket exhaust) at high rpm

I have a ‘11 e93 (convertible) that I’ve had for about 9 months. And I can relate. It is heavy. You feel it least when you’re on winding roads, when the job of entertainment is shared fairly evenly between engine and suspension. Accelerating from 50 to 80 to pass whoever it is that is doing 50 on I-5 is still a joy.

You lost what little (very little) credibility you had with this post.

I’m Ron Burgandy?

Time to put this one down.

My all time favorite “ I would have never guessed they were in the military” is Sorrell booke.

I’m thankful that the Porsche bean-counters finally lost the battle and the engineers were allowed to create the GT4 Cayman.

Scotland. Socialism puts class warfare over individual rights. Hardly surprising.

This one strikes a chord. My dad had a Canadian-market 1982 930, during the dark years when such things were not being imported directly. He picked it up at the factory in November, on fresh Pirelli P7 rubber, and proceeded to drive it around Germany with my mom, in varying wintry conditions. It was then returned to

I’m with you. I can’t stand to watch them parade around in their pink, as if they support women in any way other than as objects to be used and abused. Fuck them.

Did they make it more ugly on purpose? Is that part of the marketing strategy or what?

Don’t forget, Roadhouse car.

My dad has an S550, so I know the type of people who buy these cars. Granted, no one who owns an S-class would never look at a Lincoln Continental, but these aren’t the 1960’s anymore. Owners of full-size luxury sedans are not 75 years old and borderline senile. They are middle-aged and generally wealthy, and also

Remove hands? That sounds messy.
