Dinosaurs did stick around—they’re called birds these days. Some of them, such as parrots and crows, are actually fairly intelligent and can even talk (not with human-level grammar, but they can understand the meaning of words and phrases if taught), but it seems that they haven’t prevented humanity from developing…
