Damn. Now I won’t have to install screen protectors in avacuum chamber anymore!

These athletes think nothing will ever happen to them and it’s nuts. Perhaps it should be a requirement that to compete in extreme sports you must first spend a week in a medical examiner’s office.
Hey, if it gets the job done...

With Trump now in office I have this slightly queasy feeling in the pit of my stomach that these cars will soon be back on the road, unmodified. Now where did I put that respirator...?
Hmmm... My Windows machine tells me the folder is locked (in use by another process) and won’t let me copy it anywhere.
I dunno, man. Attempting to unionize Amazon will only hasten their roboticization efforts, and they’re already moving in that direction fast. You surely don’t want them to move even faster. The jobs may be shitty but at least they’re jobs. With pay. Beats standing in an unemployment line.
I wish Anker would make some quick charge battery packs with a capacity somewhere between 10,000 and 20,000 mAH. That whole capacity range is sadly neglected. Sometimes 10,000 mAH isn’t enough and 20,000 is just too damned heavy to carry around comfortably. Something in the 15,000 range or thereabouts would be ideal.

Hell yes. Being able to disconnect from work should be a fundamental right enshrined in the Constitution.
It bothers me that being open source is always taken as the gold standard for anything software. Okay, so being open source means anyone can examine the code and theoretically spot any weaknesses. My question is, does anyone ever bother to examine the code? I remember a serious Linux kernel bug that went unnoticed for…
If you always expect the worst then you can let yourself be pleasantly surprised when the worst doesn’t happen.
The video on overpopulation fails to take into account the influence of the Roman Catholic Church on some countries. They insist on “be fruitful and multiply” to the point that, in the Philippines for example, they managed to get the government to ban all forms of contraception and family planning resulting in a 2.5x…
Depending on how heavy your laptop is and how hot it gets plastic forks may not be a good idea. Stick to metal forks.
No, it has everything to do with the fact that people who use phones while driving should be involuntarily committed to a mental hospital for the rest of their natural lives on the grounds that they are a danger to everyone around them, and we have failed to recognize that fact.
Right. Now can anyone tell me how to permanently get rid of that input selector icon? You can turn it off through “Turn system icons on our off” but it always reappears when you reboot. I’m using an old laptop with a plain old English language QWERTY keyboard so I don’t need it hogging space on my Taskbar. It’s damn…
You really know how to take the fun out of shopping, don’t you.
Funny thing is, I got an email from Netgear telling me to download the R7000 firmware - but I have an R6700! Couldn’t find anything for the 6700 that was not Beta firmware so I downloaded the R7000 file - and naturally it wouldn’t install (and thank God for that!). Finally downloaded the Beta firmware for my 6700 and…
How about “if you co-sign for my new car loan I’ll let you use it once in a while”?
If you do it right you can extract both bones, not just the smaller one (albeit separately) and then just pop what’s left into your mouth.
But if you refuse to give them a loan they’ll ask you to gift them the money outright next time (especially if they know you have it). This happened to me once and boy was it awkward.
That would be nice if updates were flawless, which they aren’t. Case in point: I have an Asus laptop that Win 10 absolutely cannot install one update on (it’s always “update failed to install”) but it keeps trying, downloading the same damned update over and over, trying to install it and then having to undo the…
