I’ve seen a MKIV GTI hit 300k here in the midwest U.S. yet I’m still skeptical. I want one though.

Friend of mine had an ‘03 GTI that hit 300k and he finally traded it off on a new Golf R. I did NOT expect a VAG product to make it that far, but he had almost no issues... yet I’m still skeptical. I echo all that Unusually Large Glottis says. Very easy to work on, but I haven’t ever had to crack the engine open. I did have a failed coil pack recently that I was not able to fix, because it was the middle of the winter and I needed to move part of the wiring harness. Would NOT budge for me, and I got frustrated…

I was SURE the Kizashi would save Suzuki. Very good car, IMO.
