I get lower MPG according to the trip computer when start stop is ON so I switch it off. I also feel like I’m going to die when it shuts off and I need to take a left at a light as its a bit laggy... 2014 X1

Broke down in a busy intersection in my ‘02 S2000 with the top down when a main fuse died. No electrical at all and thunder and rainclouds on the horizon.
My Valencia Orange daily driver is offended. Its also super easy to spot in a parking lot.
Does two flat 6's count as 12 cylinders?
Too much car for normal roads IMO especially in the Northeast. Not a huge fan of the 981 vs the 987.2 (feel the same about the 991 vs 997.2)
Agree. I thought I would be itching to trade in my 2011 987.2 Cayman. But the only possible “upgrade” for me is a 997.2 of some sort and that would just be different vs. better. I keep hoping they put out a comparable driver’s car again but it seems they are moving more and more towards luxury performance.
I’ve found that the Carmax warranty on my X5 is better than the CPO on my X1. Way better in terms of what is covered. BMW service agrees...
My 2011 Cayman is apparently 4 years too old. It told me that my number 1 and number 4 best match were both a 2015 Cayman...
But it’s supposed to be here in my garage...
Also - I know this won’t be seen as I am grey but qualifications:
You can find non S’s for mid twenties. Heres one for 29K and I’m sure its negotiable https://www.panjo.com/buy/2011-cayman-with-pdk-315100 44K miles and PDK with Sport Chrono+ if shifting isn’t your thing...
Wait for a nice ‘09 (no IMS) 987.2 Cayman. Base with an exhaust sounds perfect, is blast to drive, and maintenance costs are not high and oil and air filter changes are dead simple. And its special. Special cars are worth waiting for.
997.2/987.2 do not have the IMS.
This is the internet. Only fitted tshirts seems aggressive.
Get ready for window regulator failures. More failures than windows probably. Also, when its warm, it just won’t start for a while. So maybe injectors, maybe fuel pump, maybe check valve assembly coming from the pump. I’ve played this game. And lost.
74 and change...yay
Palomar is easy and super strong... http://www.netknots.com/fishing_knots/…
Palomar is all I use. Strongest knot.
Hit injector o-rings with a short blast of carb cleaner and they will shrink for a moment and seat easily before re-expanding. If they are newer injectors with viton or whatever this won’t hurt them.
Yep - X5 has a big old NAV button that does absolutely nothing. And I still press it...
