I lost my dad in the previous century and I’m sorry to tell you it will always suck - however, as time goes on, you’ll get used to the suckiness. I still miss my father every single day, but now thinking about him doesn’t bring tears to my eyes like it did for a year or so after he died.

My wife is a Red Sox fan. When the Cubs signed Rossy and I was all “really?”, she told me that I was going to end up loving him. She was 100% right. Three of my favorite moments from Game 7 involved him - Rizzo’s dugout freakout, Rossy’s dinger, and the team carrying him off into the sunset.
Now if only all his hateful tracts would join him in the grave, but that’s a massive amount of toxic waste to dump in one spot.
