There’s a problem with the way interviews are transcribed on this site. The questions are clearly prepared to serve a certain, clear objective, but the answers aren’t edited in the same manner, which turns the article into a shambolic mess. I’ve worked in the media industry, so maybe it’s just me who thinks this

Yeah, I’m already glad I got an unexpected treat by seeing Bill Hader show up in three different roles no less, but now I’m kinda curious if his pet store owner character will show up in the season finale. It would be kinda funny if that part was played by an actor who looks absolutely nothing like Hader, and the

Okay, I’ll check it out. Since you’re acquainted with the tale of Anne Bonny, I suppose you’ve already watched Internet Historian’s wonderful take on Stede Bonnet, gentleman pirate?

Thanks. Did you mean ‘The Cynical Historian’? I can’t seem to find a YT page named ‘Cynical History’.

I’ll have to somewhat agree with you on the ‘Rule Britannia’ jingoism (he is British, after all), but I don’t think he gets all that many facts wrong, honestly. Any better suggestions regarding YouTubers talking about historic accuracy in film?

I’m already looking forward to how YouTube channel History Buffs, which does an excellent job checking movies for historical accuracy, will absolutely lose their shit while dissecting this mess.

I’m not the one telling other to go ‘fuck themselves’ when I was simply pointing out that he was being condescending.

Yeah, I’ve read and subsequently listened to that entire New Yorker profile twice now - and if anything, I think the reporter had somewhat of a difficult relationship with Strong over the years, which he wanted to bring to the foreground. His choice of words and framing can be considered less than journalistically

Yeah, that particular block seems draining to say the least. Back then, I was living in Europe, and I’m kinda grateful that the Sopranos and Six Feet Under were programmed on different evenings; I’m not sure if I could’ve taken it in one big gulp.

You can’t even conjure up a valid counterpoint; just meaningless ‘indignation’ and uninspired insults - now, what does that remind me of? Oh yes: a baby. A big, fat baby.

The secret of growing old that a lot of people still haven’t seemed to grasp, is how not to be smug and condescending about having taken breaths for a longer period of time than others. You can’t comprehend it now - as I’m sure you never will, apparently.

Yeah, I bought that second season as a DVD box set back when it came out, and was flabbergasted that they cancelled it with such an open ending. Later on, Daniel Knauf said he planned it that way, but that was obviously nonsense he had to say from HBO headquarters - especially there’s been talk for ages about a TV

Yeah, that was just about the most Very, Very, Definitely Final Ending imaginable, so it’s totally ridiculous to even consider a follow-up.

Agreed on Tiger King, Fyre, and everyone involved. Regarding The Expanse: I was wondering why I’d stopped watching that show a couple of seasons ago, and then I saw the photo of Shohreh Aghdashloo above this article. Her role isn’t interesting, although it got way too much screen time, and her acting is horrifically

Darn - that one’s missing on my emulator. I do have McDonald’s Treasure Land Adventure on Genesis, but it doesn’t look all that entertaining. UPDATE: Yay, found it! It was listed as “M.C. Kids” - with periods for some reason. Thanks for the tip!

*year’s. Also: destroy Twitter. Only good can come of it.

There’s a port for Cool Spot on the Master System, Genesis, and SNES - which clearly shows these games were worth playing. I didn’t even know about the 7-Up connection until quite recently, as I was living in Europe and their mascotte round here was mostly Fido Dido at the time. He also had a game, which apparently

Well, that goes for anything, doesn’t it? So making a note of it seems superfluous. Geez. Good grief. Holy moley.

Only last week, I’ve finally managed to get an old-school game emulator to somewhat function on my - also ancient - Macbook Pro, so I went right ahead and installed each and every single game for the Master System, Genesis, NES, SNES, and some for the PS1. To be clear, I’ve also bought the official Genesis Mini and
