The CGI design is a nice reminder that things that work in a video game or in a comic book don't always translate well to live action.

At least the trailers were pretty honest. They promised a shitty movie, and they delivered a shitty movie.

And you'd think that this kind of talk would make the judge want to give a harsher sentence, since no one apparently understands that this guy committed a horrifying crime.

But she can provide a sense of the person she knew without blaming the victim. If she had merely said that in her experience, this guy hasn't been a sleezeball rapist, then there would be no problem with her statement. It's when she starts blaming the victim that it becomes a problem. It's also idiotic that this

Here's one of the many things that I find weird about her original statement: if she's providing a character witness account, why even try to pull the whole blame the victim card at all? If she believes her friend is at his core a good person and believes in redemption, then why suggest that alcohol is the real

Mind blown! You mean to tell me that discussions my class had in my high school creative writing class were right all along?

Yeah, but who am I to judge? After all, it wasn't me rapping on "Nuthin' But a 'G' Thang."

At this rate, Hollywood is going to get around to making an Arm Fall Off Boy film far sooner than expected.

Just because he was murdered, doesn't mean a murderer did it. Duh!

The answer is none. None more dark.

I thought they could have gone this route in Batman v Superman, perhaps by having Luthor plant bombs around the city or something to that effect. But, no, he had to go and punch out one of the Orcs from Lord of the Rings.

I'm all for punching things, but the big CGI-fest at the end of every superhero film has become so predictable. I appreciated that they changed things up in Captain America 3, but there's got to be another way to make the third act engaging for an audience.

I understand that people wanted a new threat and a villain whose super plan wasn't so campy, but I did enjoy Kevin Spacey haming things up. There was a pretty great essay on this very site about how gentle Superman is portrayed in the film, and I think Singer did a great job of showing his alienation (pun intended!)

I really hope Superman shows up, but they find some reason for various objects to obscure his face the entire episode.

I'm a stubborn defender of Superman Returns. I really felt like Singer was trying to do something different with the superhero genre, but people wanted more punching.

I jumped off the Weezer bandwagon the moment I heard "Beverly Hills" on the radio. The Green Album was bland but mostly inoffensive, and I did think Maladroit showed a nice bump in quality. But the moment those dumb chugging guitars from "Beverly Hills" turned up, I realized that I would be wasting my time with this

It took me a while to get through the second season, but if you binge watch it over two days, then it might improve. I didn't hate it, but it's not that great either. Vince Vaughn is handed some pretty clunky dialogue, and he's just not the kind of actor who can pull it off. The plot is hilariously convoluted. For

I'm lucky to have plenty of theater options around me, but I guess I never gave much thought to how bigger budgeted films elbow out theater space in much of the country.

I saw Love & Friendship over the weekend, and it's probably the funniest film I've seen in a long time. Who knew that Kate Beckinsale could pull off such a great comedic performance? Hollywood had apparently been smothering her all these years, although I'm sure she probably doesn't mind the piles of cash she's
