It's almost like rumors are sometimes false.

Third act problems occur in nearly every superhero film these days. It's usually a bunch of punching that goes on forever. I love me a good action sequence, but the the interminable finale is starting to wear out its welcome at this point.

1. X2
2. Days of Future Past
3. X-Men
4. The Wolverine
5. First Class

7. The Last Stand

Don't worry. They'll find a way to screw things up on the next film as well.

The terrible Incredible Hulk reboot is almost worth it for the one scene where we see Bruce Banner (this time played by Edward Norton) buying a pair of stretchy pants, you know, just in case.

I didn't take the comparison as an insult either. Although, I think the resemblance begins and ends with the fact that both have white hair.

I've been meaning to pick up one of his books for a while now.

Last summer I started James Ellroy's L.A. Quartet with Black Dahlia, so this summer I've moved on to the second book in the series, The Big Nowhere. The books are so incredibly bleak that I don't think I could do more than one a year, but there's something to be said for wading through the noirish muck that Ellroy

So what you're trying to tell me is, those Revenge of the Nerds movies were entirely inaccurate.

Sick Animal Collective burn. But, yeah, they're really overrated.

What first drew me to this series was the genuine sense of family and bromance. The films wear their hearts on their sleeves, and they take all of the goofy shit seriously. If I'm not mistaken, one of the reasons why Texas joined the union is because they had mounting debts and the U.S. was going to help them out with them. People have suggested the same might happen if Puerto Rico becomes a state.

I remember reading American Gods and being severely disappointed. I had pretty much decided after that book that Gaiman wasn't worth my time.

I just got back from this film, and I think a B or B- grade is spot on. I don't really know why it's getting beaten up by critics. Sure, it's overstuffed, the narrative is lumpy, and the third act goes on for too long. Basically, this means that it's a superhero films in the 21st century.

Interesting to see that certain elements of Big Fish went completely over A.A. Dowd's head.

For me, West Virginia might be the absolute best.

I don't know why I ever doubted you, James Franco.

It was kind of weird that they set up all these villains that Flash was going to fight, but then it's resolved quickly the next episode. The structure of the season was kind of wonky. I still enjoy the show, but I still want more from it.

What a headline! And what a time to be alive!
