And even the Christian conservatives only support Israel because they think that the establishment of a Jewish state will lead to the end time, which in turn will send all Jews to Hell and all Christians to heaven. So they might support Israel, but they do it for anti-Semitic reasons.

You'll never understand our pain.

You're all part of the problem!

I can't wait to read your hot take on the hot take genre.

At the same time, his extra weight kind of worked in Burn Notice. Sam Axe was a retired SEAL who spent his days drinking. Also, it made Campbell look slightly less cartoony. (Not that Burn Notice was a grounded show, but it wasn't as out there as the Evil Dead films).

I always had to close my eyes as a kid when they all started turning into pigs. There's something about transmogrification that freaked me out when I was little.

I'm just pissed that the planned Pixar film that's eerily similar to Grim Fandango is going to sink any minor chance we had of a Grim Fandango film adaptation.

But didn't Disney also acquire all of the Lucasarts video game properties (Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle, etc.)? So there must have been more to that deal than just Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Still, even if Disney scooped up Willow, I can't imagine they are terribly eager to capitalize on a decades old fantasy

You forgot to mention that one of the Brownies is played by none other than…Kevin Pollack!

I could never get into No Doubt, but plenty of my friends liked them for whatever reason. However, "Excuse Me Mister" and "Sunday Morning" were pretty strong tracks. I do think the idea of whether a twenty year old album matters is kind of silly. Matters how? Is it still influential? If so, to who? The music

The film was so visually sumptuous I can't imagine anyone who truly loves film to dislike this movie. It's certainly the kind of film where you feel as if you could walk into the celluloid. The fact that the movie is being mismarketed will probably kill the film in theaters, but I really hope Guillermo Del Toro can

These days, you'd have more luck saying, "Relax. It's just a fucking religion."

Money. Truckloads of money, which is probably something you, Cy Tolliver, could understand.

Don't remind me of how the show absolutely wasted Lucy Lawless. Ugh.

It did seem like kind of a waste to hire Powers Boothe and then just use him as a goddamn silhouette. And if they were thinking about expanding that role years later, then that's some next level world building right there.

I'm with you on Beach House, but Deerhunter are one of my absolute favorites. But, yeah, to each their own. When it comes to Deerhunter, I think Halcyon Digest might be the easiest in. If that still doesn't work for you, then it's likely the band as a whole does not work for you.

I actually went out and bought Bloom, because I was determined to get into this band. As others have said, it's a band I think I should like. But after the first two songs, I just could not get into them. I'm too old to hate most music these days, so I'm glad others like the band, and I'm happy the musicians are able

Wake me up when they make a Blackhat sequel. (I realize that this is going to be a loooooooong slumber).

This is a band that I just cannot get into. I like atmospheric music, but sometimes Beach House gets too close to Enya territory. At their worst, Beach House is a Pure Moods compilation for the indie set.

I always find it hilarious when rather than dropping a prerecorded advertisement into the podcast, the podcaster has to shill for the company. On the one hand, it feels really gauche. On the other hand, it lets me imagine that I'm listening to an old time 1930s radio program.
