TBH I dashed around the arena leaving blade whirlwinds for the minotaur while shield throwing with Hangover at the center for the other guy. I left my casts on the ground cause they were causing lightning strikes that jolted. Dash to win.

So my monster hunter world hunts stop taking 5 minutes to load.
“Sony and their fuckup”
Walmart pretty much tweeted “fuck what Sony wants, go go go now now now” and everyone else followed suit. How is this Sony’s fault?
Game is absolutely excellent, and proof that with proper vision and direction even store assets can be combined into a cohesive and entertaining package.
Yeah but is the game good? Should I buy it. Can we maybe put up a second review so I can figure this out?
The point of contention is that CIG said that they had been working on the game already for over a year. They weren’t, they just working on a scripted scene (basically an in engine movie) with some art assets, and it wasn’t CIG that built it.
Basically, CIG marketed it as the result of their work developing the game to…
They didn’t though, it was actually a staged ‘proof of concept’ built by the cryengine team to make people *think* that it was in development already and there was a prototype. The reality is, it was a standalone scene that had nothing to do with the game at all other than having it’s art assets.
As someone who backed SC before the kickersarter even launched: this project is a disaster and it’ll never be what we put our money towards. My biggest regret and the reason I don’t back crowdfunding nearly as much as I used to.
Not the backer’s fault that CIG decided to expand the scope of the game so that it no longer what the OG backers thought they would be getting, and then proceeded to put the game into an endless cycle of pushbacks, delays, scope creep, missed dates until the end of all time. That is 100% CIG and they should be held…
You say that until you play Cost of Magic in The Secret World.
See, I’m the opposite. I love when I’m the only one around cause I can retreat into VR and further feel like I’ve got “presence” because of a lack of distractions and a sense that there’s someone else around in the real world.
Alternate Theory: People enjoy coming together as a community and having some fun while waiting for some news by spamming hands in a chat. “First” has nothing to do with it.
Monster Hunter patterns it’s designs after the drawings of older cultures who used the sort of art to represent creatures/plants/etc they came across.
Literally Horizon Zero dawn was praised for having it’s open world protagonist act like a lonely nutter.
Now Deek pulls a similar bit in an equally fitting environment and it’s the worst thing ever.
Only an hour or so in you can kill your first horde.
“Sekiro and other From Software games aren’t necessarily about being “hard” in the first place—not specifically, at least. They are, as FromSoftware director Hidetaka Miyazaki said, about letting “players experience a sense of accomplishment through overcoming difficulties.” As accessibility expert Ian Hamilton noted…
No, but From loses the impact of their artwork and the themes they built it around. They have a clear vision for what Sekiro is, a game about the horrors that occur when the lines between life and death are blurred through the concept of immortality and resurrection. Part of that vision involves the trials the player…
Is it really though?
It’s like someone working there was given a list of choices to make when building the game and purposely picked the worst choice every time.
Catch the corner of a piece of cardboard in your eye and let me know how that goes.
