I test drove one at the end of last year. A few things I’d note:

Just listened. Won’t spoil it for anyone who hasn’t, but good call.

Not yet - but I have a 30 minute drive later in the day so I will listen then and report back!

Back in about 1978 in rural Georgia my uncle was driving his beat up Ford pickup from work to home and saw a box in the road. Being a good guy he pulled over to move it out of the traffic line...

I learned to drive on a series of cars from the ages of 10 onwards, but my first person car was a 1984 Rabbit convertible Wolfsburg edition in triple white. Just like the one pictured above. Obviously manual.

Re ThatWhiteRabbit - the local make-out cemetery (still can’t believe that was ever a thing) in my hood was at the end of a gravel road as well. Also at the end of that gravel road? The house I grew up in. In fact our driveway was about 100 feet from the cemetery entrance. Your story wasn’t in Smyrna GA by any

Tom helped my get my G550 last year and as I am in the process of getting rid of a few cars and saw an add advertising low lease rates on the Alfa Giulia I decided to call about the QF even though he warned me they are not competitive on leases (to say the least). I figured I’d make a couple of initial calls and see

“Hey man, somebody stole your battery.”

Lived in NYC for 10 years and did this once. Once! Had been at work for 3 days straight, finally coming home at a normal time (around 445) and went to get on the 6 at 53rd and Lex. Didn’t think, just walking into the empty car - empty except for one (1) homeless guy that had shit himself silly, and of course no AC

It’s not even the worst city that in the same geography! I’m looking at you, Elizabeth NJ.

The Beverly Hills Hotel by chance? Great place to have a drink.

Your E9 pic that I took this afternoon before a long drive is right here.

My father was forced to stop having cool cars once we kids came along, and once Iacocca came out with a Dodge Caravan that’s what we got (replacing a just terrible small Plymouth wagon from the late 70s). That was followed by a Ford Aerostar. Both of those were terrible penalty boxes with awful interiors and

My largest client is a billionaire with multiple Bentleys and other exotics (not sure on the Bentley SUV tho), and has multiple watches worth 6 figures. So I can confidently say with certainty what this storage area is for:

I love Steve Lehto and his podcasts, but the quote above (which may not be the entirety of his response) at least implies there is no such thing as fair use in the trademark context, which is not accurate. It won’t help here since it’s mostly applicable in comparative advertising contexts (Brawndo TM has 10x as much

Or the late 2000s rap group:

This doesn’t have enough stars. I have a Dunning-Krueger diagram in my office. (I’m not sure I’ve gotten over “Mt. Stupid” yet on basically any issue, so it’s there to remind me.)

No you absolutely shouldn’t in in your car.

Totally believable. I’ve heard of this happening in Southern California.

I have two stories that both happened near Georgia Tech in the early 90's.
