“Needless to say, all of my clients who had the Alfa on their shopping list ended up with other luxury cars that offered more competitive lease deals with fewer hassles.”

I’m not going to pretend I’m not cutting some small onions here. Tesla usually gets PR fairly right when they can control it.
I wonder if Drew ever got his E9 project finished, and if so whether he is still using my CoupeKing Alpina style wheels. I don’t spend as much time as I used to on the E9 forum since life has gotten a lot busier.
The engine and manual transmission on these are considered bulletproof, so buy it and when the rest of everything fails do an epic swap into something else.
Name: Chekov, Pavel. Rank: Admiral.
Is the question how effective the current midcourse systems are at protecting the whole of the continental US, and in particular civilian infrastructure? I.E., how much comfort should we as civilians derive from these systems.
It shifts gears in cities far worse than I did when I was 13 and learning to drive in the country on a Willys army jeep.
“But I was even more nervous when I found out that the only transmission available in the new M5 is a new eight-speed M Steptronic transmission, which is a regular-old automatic. There is no double clutch transmission option, and BMW has done DCTs so well before.”
I’ve always thought these were an extremely nice and attractive sedan. And especially at the price point. I don’t really see that many of them, which has always confused me. I guess people just pick the Accord or Camry due to familiarity? I would take this in a heartbeat over either of those.
Ridiculous!
My one compliant about the i8, and it’s really a complaint about how the luxury industry approaches design on a lot of its cars, is the stupid screen in the middle of the dash. It’s not integrated well, but also having an always-on screen does not seen luxurious at all to me.
Ha! You just have to follow the procedure. Step 1: Make sure no one you need to impress is watching. Step 2: Make sure you aren’t wearing clothes that need to be dry-cleaned. Step 3: Make sure you aren’t wearing a skirt or a dress. (I almost wrote: “...if you’re a woman or girl.” but who I am to judge? Also no…
“This is not a car for Jalopnik readers.”
I could have written your comment.
Have you driven one? It’s like driving a fighter plane. And I’m old enough now that I’m chasing driving experiences rather than 0-60 times or top speeds.
But everyone in countries with socialized medicine hates it, the outcomes are far worse, the wait times are terrible, plus DEATH PANELS!!!11!
Typical GM cost saving BS. On the flagship model.
I saw this one outside the Chevy dealer in Napa while driving back to SF yesterday. Funny, this summer they didn’t even want to let me test drive one.
Nah I just like to buy interesting stuff, and never keep anything too long. Right now the Z3M fills the sports car niche although I’ll probably sell it in the spring.
