This is what I came here to say. Good amount of luxury, very reliable, and not much chance that a client would worry that they are overpaying you because you drive a way fancier car than they do.

My aunt - who could have had any car she wanted - had a Fox body just like this one but in a beige-er color when they were new. We lived on a dirt road, and she would drive at max speed all the time so not only her car was filthy but so were our family cars. She also never cleaned it inside or out, and never did any…
I’m Commander Shepherd and this is my favorite comment on Kotaku.
I still want one of those every time I see it. I’ll even take this color.
One of the trainers at my gym is 6'8". He has an FJ60, and I guess he fits in it. I work with a guy who is 6'5" who really loves his F-Pace. For an SUV, I also think the Jag is on the good looking side and not as ubiquitous here in SF as the Range Rover.
And me. Wait - weren’t you just telling me a few months ago the area around Tech has gotten a lot better? :)
A buddy is selling his E63 wagon this summer/fall, and I am first on the dibs list. Do I buy that or hold out for this and hope it comes to America?
Turns out both cars could be driven home, and the couple in the other car was not only fine but worried my friend was too upset! The LC is basically a tank so the only damage was to the front bumper cover, and I’ve been meaning to upgrade to Slee front and rear, so now is probably the time to do that.
I actually own 2 FJ80s, one is a Land Cruiser used by a friend in LA (purchased for $1000) and the other an LX450 used by a friend in Napa (purchased a couple years ago for $4000).
Seems like the semi driver should lose his CDL for this. I don’t drive in snow much and I know better than to pass a plow.
My power seats work fine, but the material on the fronts (especially the driver side) is totally worn. I’ve considered fixing it but I haven’t gotten around to it yet since the FJ is my beater. The driver mirror does in fact wobble, but same answer - that one I will almost certainly get fixed next time it goes in…
And like 95% of them have gold trim (ew!). Including my LX450.
You’re not alone. And given how the trim and interior materials in the current Vette are still far below its performance rivals, there should be space for (say) a $150k Cadillac XLR halo car.
That’s cool! One of my friends is a Foxy Fueler in Sydney:
Bob Hawke! You can’t be PM of Australia unless you can drink a yard of beer in under 15 seconds. Or they disappear you, like Harold Holt.
I’ve got a buddy at work with a white 50th anniversary with the houndstooth seats (houndsteeth?) and I’d probably just buy his (he is about done with it), except he has the PDK. I can’t even tell you what other options he might have or not have.
Can you get houndstooth still? I thought that was a 50th anniversary special. If so I’d definitely get it.
I’ve never really been a 911 guy, but as a car guy I feel like I should try one at least for a couple of years. I normally buy the fastest version of anything, but a RWD 911 GTS Targa with a manual seems like a real sweet spot car. What am I missing?
If this looks 85% like the pic above or more, has a manual option with the biggest engine option, real 4x4, and is in fact body-on-frame, I will be first in line to buy one brand new.*
These guys should have a word with Alfa Romeo.
