I loved the S55 that I had for a couple of years, but I didn’t love the monthly repair cost and the fact that each repair was at least around $750-$1k. But it was a great comfortable car with everything you would expect to find in a modern car - minus decent nav, but I have a smart phone.

If I were your dad I’d have taken it away from you.

Agree with everything you wrote, but there is another consideration, which is what is the car going to be used for. And whether or not it will reduce the burden on the parents (or, on the other hand, is likely to increase it).

Well, yeah, but I learned that lesson after less than a year as a lawyer. Presumably the people involved here have decades of legal experience, so I’m surprised they didn’t predict this.

BTW I’m not ashamed to admit it took me two goes to watch the video due to all the dust in my office today.

I never cared for Jay Leno as the host of Late Night, although I’ve seen some other standup he has done and it’s quite a bit better. So I’d say as a comedian, he never really spoke to me.

Same, but also met one the band members (friend of a friend) and he was a pretty cool guy.

I suppose the $2000 buys you a Maserati version?

A moose once bit my sister...

Maybe it’s the pics, but the seats and the steering wheel are simply gorgeous. I love me some BMWs but I wouldn’t kick the Polestar version of this out of bed for eating crackers.

Starred for the Bioshock reference.

BMW 1M. Fortunately when I sold it I basically recouped my entire cost of ownership.

I wouldn’t but I already have a bad-ass resto mod vehicle.

Amazing.

I think it depends a bit on the dealer. I asked to drive a Panamera 4S once at Porsche of Marin and they instead gave me the keys to a used RWD one with the lowest spec engine and no options in a terrible color. The guy kept saying “it’s so great right”. Needless to say I left in the E39 M5 I came to the test drive

Thanks Porsche for saving me money!

I tried to go look at a Focus RS and they didn’t want me to drive it. I was driving my i8, and they said “well, they didn’t let you test that before you got it right?” Um, wrong. I don’t buy cars without test driving them. It always seems to be the lower priced brands that give you all that run-around about

There were supposedly 3 manual Californias, but the hubbub is they actually only made 2 of them and 1 order was cancelled.

I do drive it! But it’s not an everyday car.
