I think she is Danvers’ stepdaughter. Leah mentioned her dad in the first or second episode with the implication being he had died and Danvers was stuck with Leah now.

I don’t think Hank knew Otis was as Danvers’ house for what it’s worth. Hank said he needed to bring Otis in and Danvers asked how he knew Otis was there. His surprise at this information seemed to be genuine. Everything after that was definitely a mess though.

Wonka is a musical? Like, more so than the original movie? My kids want to see it, but I think they’re unlikely to enjoy a non-cartoon singing movie.

Yeah, when the trailer came on I just kept thinking, that girl’s face looks weird.

They had that one guy who they pulled out of the ice. He screamed, said some cryptic things, and then died(?). That wasn’t revealing enough for you? 😂

What did you do that indicated he was racist? I’ve already forgotten.

I wasn’t familiar with Gillis either. But I saw a clip of his Trump impersonation and thought it was quite good. I’m sure it’ll get put to use on the show.

This article was bizarre to me. I’m guessing it was just lots of references to the movie? I wonder if they were clever.

I’ve enjoyed it overall, but I’d prefer no more sex scenes.

Also the woman who got punched at the plant was hit in her left eye.

I thought it was a trailer park. It made the phrasing weird (why would you say “where do you hide a trailer?” if there’s a trailer park in town), but that’s what it looked like to me.

I don’t think Mulaney’s jokes were any funnier than Koy’s, but his delivery and style was just miles better than Koy. I imagine Mulaney could’ve delivered the same monologue as Koy and it would’ve been received much better.

I’d never heard of this person before the awards, but I finally watched the monologue. I actually thought the jokes were mostly funny. But if he would’ve stopped the asides about how the jokes were (or weren’t) landing, I think it would’ve been better.

Yeah. I didn’t think it was funny either. And it was pretty tepid as far as a takedown goes, definitely not dragging Rodgers within an inch of his life.

Yeah. I had remembered it incorrectly. Thank you for the correction.

Thank you. I hadn’t watched the clip yet when I commented. I was referring to the comment Rodgers made before. I don’t think casual observers were aware of that context. They just heard Rodgers say Kimmel would be happy if the list didn’t come out, which seems like a completely out-of-the-blue pedo accusation.

Apparently Rodgers had mentioned the list before and Kimmel said that Rodgers should be checked for CTE. That’s why Rodgers said Kimmel wouldn’t be happy if the list came out. (Because it would prove Rodgers correct) He didn’t actually accuse Kimmel of anything. Most people aren’t going to know that backstory though

Yeah. I think you’re right about cutting back a lot of the book reading from the beginning. I think that would have made the flashbacks more compelling. I found the present-day mystery far more interesting. When they were in the flashbacks, I generally just wanted to get back to the present day.

I did not think she was compelling or interesting in Hawkeye.
