Also, My Apocalypse from that same album.

That hasn’t been happening for Disney lately though. And most of their recent financial successes have been sequels or remakes. The other animation companies have been beating Disney at the box office despite not really having the multilayered movies that we might want.

Pretty much. I think it could’ve been better without too much effort. But what was gave us was fun. My entire family really enjoyed it.

“...Mission Impossible laser beam scenario”

According to BoxOfficeMojo, Empire Strikes Back made about 2/3 the amount of money as A New Hope in its original release. Rereleases don’t get it over the top either. Or are you meaning The Force Awakens is the sequel?

I kinda agree with the author on the first point. I think Baby Yoda was a gigantic factor in the popularity of the show. I definitely agree with you on the second, though. The character is limited so he’s not that interesting. But they keep him around for merchandising. So maybe they should figure out something

I Heart Huckabees and The Happening come to mind. Mark Wahlberg is a win for me in both, as is the opening stuff in The Happening. Everything else is a disaster. In Revolution Road Michael Shannon is awesome and the rest sucks. Talladega Nights? The first 30 seconds of the jokes were good. The next 90 seconds of

It’s weird to find a (former?) AV Club writer stuck in the greys. Don’t worry. I’ll let you out, man.

Another death spoiled in a headline??! Seriously, AVClub!!

This is ridiculous, but it’s not unique to AV Club. Just out of curiosity, I googled Succession after the episode finished. The results produced multiple headlines from major websites with spoilers in the titles. That was the same night! It’s obnoxious.

The Bansheens of Neverland?

In the behind the scenes feature for tonight’s episode they noted that they filmed the scenes in pieces and then did an entire runthrough like a play just with multiple cameras. Mark Mylod noted that a lot of that wound up in the final episode.

I had a similar opinion. The main thing I would’ve liked was for them to slow down a bit. So many of the action scenes were overloaded with cuts. It’s animation; there’s no reason you can’t present a continuous shot of Mario running and jumping from one thing to the next.

Now playing

Parts of it are still there, but it’s basically a spoken poem. And of course the incredible animation of the original is gone.

This is the company that cut Be Prepared from the Lion King remake. That and Souls are 1A and 1B for best villain songs, IMO. Disney’s poor judgment knows no end.

If Fox News and the AV Club writers both agree that something is stupid, you know you’ve made the wrong decision. It’s like a 9-0 decision in the Supreme Court.

That quote from Bailey seems to indicate that she doesn’t understand the character that was presented in the animated version of the movie. That doesn’t give me a lot of hope for this. Although, to be fair, I didn’t have much to begin with.

All good points.

Yes.

Why would it be bad to cease puberty blockers? There is low to very low quality evidence to support their use and many other countries have recommended they not be used. Counseling 100% should continue. I’m curious why Wash U would make counseling contingent upon medication. That’s messed up.
