Great point. The location definitely contributed to its downfall. The attraction was so good though. Knowing nothing going in, it scared the crap out of me. Even when I rode it a second time it still freaked me out.

I just finished this and thought it was really good. Unlike the reviewer, I found the opaqueness around how/why Duntsch did what he did to be a strength. His actions can’t be pinned down to just one explanation.

Yes, there are exceptions beyond protected classes (Title VII stuff, age, disability, etc.). Are there procedures in the employee handbook for discipline or termination that weren’t followed? Were you fired so they wouldn’t have to pay you a bonus? Did you file a complaint with OSHA and were subsequently terminated…

Nothing in this trailer makes me think Elemental will be inspired. It seems to be a hodgepodge of many other Pixar and Disney movies (Inside Out, Cars, Zootopia, Soul). Also, The Good Dinosaur was the bottom of the barrel for Pixar movies IMO so that’s not great.

That’d be a shame. I think he’s made two masterpieces and another really good movie. But given the length of time between Little Children and Tár maybe the process is just too much for him.

Yeah. I think it’s probably a reflection of the box office as a whole, though I do think the movies themselves matter. In 2018, only 3 of the top 20 were family movies, but their grosses were higher.
