The cost of a lift ticket is pretty high (almost 3x what I paid in NM recently), but yeah, it’s otherwise just a ski resort.

Reese’s used to have hearts that were like this, with the harder chocolate. Are those still made? Now all I see are the regular hearts at Valentine’s.

I’ve never gotten any of the other sides, but only because it’s way too expensive to “upgrade.”

That’d be a shame. I think he’s made two masterpieces and another really good movie. But given the length of time between Little Children and Tár maybe the process is just too much for him.

Yeah. I think it’s probably a reflection of the box office as a whole, though I do think the movies themselves matter. In 2018, only 3 of the top 20 were family movies, but their grosses were higher.

If only the rest of the movie had been as inventive as the opening scene...

I keep hearing that families don’t go see movies anymore. But there are still plenty of family movies making bank. The latest Minions made almost a billion worldwide, Puss In Boots made 470 million and counting, Sonic 2 and Sing 2 each did 400 million.

I can’t say I agree with the reviewer on the movie or the sequels getting better with each installment. Four was up there, but 5 might have been the worst of the lot (haven’t seen 3 in a while). This one was better than 5, but nowhere near the top.

I’d say 2 too many. Scream 4 was good.

The problem I saw is that none of those people “needed” saving. As presented, there was very little threat to any of them from the infection. Even if Joel was weighing the pros and cons, there wasn’t much need for a cure to save people who weren’t terrible.

Beyond the lack of infected, the only people that seemed worth saving were already well-protected in their fort. I’m probably missing someone, but aside from the brothers in Kansas City, everyone who died at the hands of the zombies was generally awful. And the rest of the folks weren’t shown to be in much danger. The…

I dunno. The solution they proposed sounded completely unrealistic, with basically no chance of success. You want me to let her die based on that idea? Not a chance.

Have you seen Seven? It seemed like a pretty awful way to go out.

It belies the very nature of the show to me. The zombie hoards are so horrific that folks have to live in quarantined, heavily fortified cities - except when they don’t. And the trek Joel wanted to take to find his brother was a huge, fraught undertaking. Turns out it wasn’t.

I think Rock’s idea is if he laid off Jada then he’d be giving Will Smith just what Smith wanted. Smith slapped Rock and said to stop talking about his wife. Rock’s response is no, I’m not going to stop. I’m going to double down. And that’s going to hurt Smith even more.

Why are those my only options?
