Yeah. I tried a fair number, but eventually gave up.

Glass Onion was playing at the theater near my house (one of only three in town showing it). My Monday night screening was almost sold out. They actually added a screening for the next day because demand seemed to be so high. It seems like they could’ve at least kept it around for a second weekend without blowing…
They’re both great as those characters, but neither seems to have been able to drive big movies outside of the MCU. I think that’s what would make someone a star. And how I read Tarantino’s remarks.
I’ve never seen it, but I’m inclined to believe you just based on Musker and Clements’ other work. These guys made Aladdin, Little Mermaid, and Moana, not to mention Princess and the Frog and Hercules. Are they the best Disney filmmakers of modern times?
Domestically, Minions 3 was the #4 movie this year. Sonic 2 was #9. And then there were three other animated movies in the Top 20. I guess I can’t say how that compares to other years, but it doesn’t seem too bad for animation. I think maybe the difference is that two Disney movies flopped (though Lightyear was in…
I saw in an article about the movie that it had the lowest CinemaScore of a Disney animated movie since polling began in 1991. It got a B from opening audiences, but apparently no Disney animated movie had ever gotten below an A-.
I agree. It reminds me of the “Save the Tatas” stuff. As if we should only care about breast cancer because we like boobs and women could lose them. It’s gross.
It won’t be there. From what I saw it’s only out for a week and then it goes away. Tomorrow is the last day it’s in theaters.
Elsa is 100% the villain of the movie, but Disney seemingly couldn’t commit to it. Her actions after the inciting incident are pretty selfish. Even the song is about being selfish! She doesn’t even redeem herself at the end; Anna saves the day. Sister-love made for a nice theme, but a messy and inconsistent movie.
I’ve seen plenty of ads on TV and in the theaters. And in all of the ads the movie looks completely derivative and uninteresting.
I’m guessing she either doesn’t want to or doesn’t believe she should have to placate her critics.
I didn’t remember her from anything other than Better Call Saul. After seeing her in this, I feel certain that Gilligan et al. wasted her talents on that show. She was wonderful in this movie.
I finally got to see this and Farrell is great. And, his playing dense in this movie is so different from how he was in In Bruges. He’s incredible.
Sure. Although he wasn’t actually in charge of the parks during Covid so maybe they were things the current guy wanted and Chapek just went along with them? He definitely gets blamed though, as a lot of things started going down while he was running the parks. Billion dollar lands with two rides, cutbacks from…

Thank you! It’s an over-long boring episode of (post-Sorkin) The West Wing.
I think this goes beyond Covid. Disney has been slow-playing their construction for years. Construction that could have been finished long before Covid (e.g., Tron) is still ongoing. They also decided to fire a crap ton of people during Covid with apparently no intention of replacing many of them. And they decided to…
I think the courts have pretty consistently agreed that once you buy something you are free to resell it if you wish. I figured airline tickets were an exception based on security concerns. We wouldn’t have that here. It would be nice in these kinds of situations though.
