Article about bad batteries and lack of regulation on the sale of them as a whole. They should enforce a standard that gets a stamp on the product and box if it includes overheat and overcharge protection to keep it sales legal in the USA.  Consumer protection laws lacking in the states?   Why would have EVER

I was behind a guy using one last week on a popular greenway where I live. For 6 miles, he and I were travelling the same direction while I was on my gravel bike. He didn’t pedal once, and at times was putting a significant gap on me despite his ability to control his eBike. It was a beautiful fall day, and this

It’s the same lax import laws from decades ago that had really unsafe rechargeable toy batteries. That’s why so many electronics started coming wiht no batteries included then. They lack the overcharge protection circuit and lack the overheat shudt down of better branded items. Sure that $400 conversion kit SEEMS like

It was a VERY visible cock-up that was televised live on the news. There was no really way they were going to back out of this one that easily.

The one exception I have to that is if its a full movie replica DB5 complete with the pop up panels and guns.

Its only about 100k over the average american’s car pocket. It looks stunning. They have one that is at the office down the street and i see it streak past every lunch hour. The want is real.  The wait till 2040 when its depreciated is long.

Sorry.  The kinja happened.

2% more for used versus new for most first time buyers.  I would HAPPILY pay the same price for a 2 year old CX-5 then a carollacross.  It feels so lond and dull from inside.  It’s ever worse once you drive it.  They took the car suspension and just added stilts and more weight higher up.  It’s BAD.

I miss when slot car hobby racing was more of a thing. especially locally.
I remember a lot of time spent on winters days here. I got good at racing. I topped the junior for state and was nearing the top level of the open classes. Sadly the local arm closed down and never relocated when they leveled the strip mall it

Its a few signs and speed drops from 60 to 50. “speed zone ahead” and “fines doubled” followed by a city limits sign and a posted 50mph sign you see. They are all within a quarter mile of the last 60MPH speed sign. It’s not a big drop. Just that assholes blast through surface streets at 80mph. It;s a 2 lane divided

The only “corrupt” thing I see here is the “fines doubled” sign being placed behind the “speed zone ahead” sign. At night you won’t see it due to shadow in headlights. Drive through this town a few times in my life. It’s a 60 to a 50mph so nothing drastic like an immediate 30mph drop. Idiots just simply blast through

That happened to me. I asked for the radar gun printout for the infraction that matched my work camera’s date and time stamp (2012 yay) of the stop and ticket before and after I signed it. The cop saying I was doing 78 in a 45. They had zero proof of anything in the radar printout of the day stating that speed. The

This is a state highway.  It goes from 60mph to 50 in the town limits then back up just past it.  The idiots just ignore the “slow down”  and “fines doubled” signs before the whopping drop to 50mph.

This one goes from 60 to 50 through the town limits.  People just blow through the town.

It’s a highway that goes from 60 to 50 through the town. It doesn’t sharply drop to 35mph or something silly like that. People just blow through the town at 80+ and don’t expect any issue.

More like two and a quarter.

Really the x6? Its a ducing dog of a vehicle design. The thing is WAY too big for its styling. Then again taste is subjective and some like the taste of dog... leavings.

The Audi drives like a normal gas car.  That gets a lot of people miffed.

The Audi DOES use regen braking as much as possible. If you outbreak the force that the electric motors induce, it then starts using the mechanical brakes. Not every EV is a tesla where the brake pedal uses mechanical brakes only.

I prefer to do the lift and coast. The etron holds its coasting speed VERY well. In an ioniq with one pedal driving, i felt fatigued holding my foot dead steady between the longer stretches of moving traffic. The way Audi does it feels a lot more natural. If you are doing nothing but accelerating and decelerating and
