Well that was a horrible week for me, but if I came out of it with super immunity, I guess that's a good trade.

@ManchuCandidate: In fact, the kid shortage will cause a market demand because there won't be enough things for old people to yell about. Therefore, the outlook for enterprising children who are willing to start "yelling routes" will be a good way to compensate for the disappearance of paper routes. They could charge

I read the most incredible conspiracy theory about this yesterday, one that actually tied the bird deaths in with that Bush aide that was found dead in a dump. It's so crazy that it's worth a read.

So then in the Cretaceous Period alone there should have been at least a couple Batmen. I wonder where the fossils are located.

@deafblindmute: THAT's a little excessive, don't you think? As bad as the prequels were, that movie was... something worse.

@Kaiser-Machead: Whoa, that's a lifetime's worth of rough-tongue. Still an attractive proposition, though.

You officially blew my mind with the Lingua obscura/anthro thing. In fact, I never finished reading the review because I kept analyzing everything from Redwall to Watership Down.

Only slightly more offensive than the fact that game developers still think quicktime events keep players in the action. How is a long pause with a single button push any more engaging that a cutscene. ugh.

Got in with some Trek-obsessed people at a young age, maybe 9-10. Then a few years later, we moved and I got in with some Star Wars obsessed friends at around 13 or 14.

Oh, Dimetrodon. Every time I see you I'm surprised yet again at just how stumpy your legs are.

@Steve Williams: More than unimpressed I think. The bellyache makes them grumpy.

@storymark: I agree and disagree at the same time because the overabundance of CGI has expanded the uncanny valley for modern folks.

@zslane: SPOILER ALERT (mainly for BlueBeard, just in case) but in some of the trailers, it shows Flynn, before he leaves, saying goodbye to sam with a young CG face, and it looks just as off-putting as Clu when he talks. I don't know just how much of him we'll see in the movie; it's just what I've seen in the

@Doctor Insano: I was up until this article revealed that the director himself admits it's NOT polished.

@BlueBeard: That's the problem, though. It doesn't look intentionally imperfect, it really just looks like bad CGI. I'd actually prefer if they had made it look a little more mechanical or digital, Clu being what he is, but instead it just looks like they missed the mark.

@Doctor Insano: Actually, it's not really that new, and the point is it's been done better. Benjamin Button proved that quite well, but even Gollum years ago was much more believable than Clu's uncanny crevice.
