overwatch has a story it`s just in other media`s all in-game battles are non-canon

while i agree with he other 95% of your comment i think when they say diversity for diversity sake i think it`s more referring to things like rowling saying that hermione is black or dumbledore was gay. it doesn`t change their fate nor does it alter perceptions of them overall. i think it`s just there interesting but…

i will say where overwatch differs than those three is that the depth is already there and blizzard will support the game they usually do
