I’ve got to disagree with your feelings on the gear selector. I find it convenient, easy to reach for/turn, and intuitive. Just turn it to the selection you desire. I don’t see how that is much different than pulling a lever to the selection you desire. Certainly more intuitive than a column shifter. And from a design

1st Gear: QX50 is the second-smallest? Is that counting the QX30? Because the QX60, 70, and 80 are all larger. And in that case, there are 5 SUVs.
