You left out a very vital piece of information: Even if you know the road that is covered in water - it may have been washed out due to the water - think sinkhole - only filled with water now - if it’s deep enough you can’t see the pavement you literally can not trust that the surface is still there.

Dear auto makers: I had a ‘courtesy car’ today that was a sedan. Let me tell you why American’s aren’t buying sedans today:

They have a factory.  It is in Bloomington Illinois.  It used to produce Mitsubishis - it was *very automated* and AFAIK the robots were part of the deal - the *tooling* is a total unknown.
