I mean - this entire experiment kind of started over a revolt on a tax on Tea - we Americans take drink taxes seriously.
This isn’t even open to debate. The ACA mandates that coverage be given to certain people for free. It’s as basic an entitlement program as you can have.
ROFL not a single person gets insurance because the insurance company is forced to cover them for free dumbass.
Well after listening to the rhetoric that “the market will work things out” - it sure seems like ‘millennials’ are taking that to heart and voting with their wallets after seeing what ‘consumer activism’ achieved for mom & dad.
This is because the Tesla doesn’t look like a used piece of turd. People who want something like that already bought a Prius.
hot take: Unless they are white women - in which case they’ll vote for a pussy grabbing, asshat that doesn’t give a damn about productive rights.

Odd that you say that up in ‘Not Illinois’ Chicago (not my choice of words - seriously) but us downstaters are just fine with Bernie - seems like you city folk are more Republican than you think.
I think calories are a great ‘general’ way to measure food energy personally - I just wish that nutrition education included some basics that people could use to understand if you don’t eat 300 calories ‘here’ that subbing those 300 calories with sweets or other very calorie dense food (like a fast food burger) isn’t…
I didn’t wave a ‘evil sugar demon’ flag - but nice strawman there. My point is saying a ‘calorie is a calorie’ ignores that some foods give you more satiety per calorie.
People say a calorie is a calorie, however if you look at the metabolic pathways and how your liver turns that food into energy (that’s where it happens btw - the liver) you find that it’s not all the same.
