Wow yes there is - the right to protection from self incrimination was to stop torture confession from agents of the crown.

The way freenet works if I request a file (for the sake of conversation - lets assume it’s a picture of a waffle recepie) - that request will be sent along to a random # of computers in the net - who then will get the file - and pass it down the line.
The point is the government can compel physical evidence - it can’t compel you to explain that evidence to connect the dots.
Yes but it’s not a key - that’s the problem. The word key in this case was a identifier coined by encryption programmers to provide a framework for people to understand encryption. For that purpose - it serves. The password however isn’t a key - it’s literally the missing piece of a translation book which is used to…
No actually - ask the people who were working on Enigma. The machine itself (the software in this case) was worthless without the translation book (the key).
No the password to encryption (the key) is nothing but a translation book for the computer.

Nope - what he’s saying is they have the combination to the safe but the contents are gibberish - and the defendant can’t be forced to translate the documents for the police.

No you are ignoring that they already paid that cost. They can’t sell you service they have to build out for - that’s been done. The data running through that service doesn’t make it any more or less expensive. If everyone used the service at max speed 100% of the time - sure. That doesn’t happen though and if it did,…
Well as we are giving anecdotes ...

Well that was the idea in Alien. In Aliens however she isn’t required to loose her female side to be badass. Subtle differences between directors make a big difference. Cameron does a pretty good job overall of having strong female characters. Ridley .. well he seems to be less genius and more serendipity.
Well I’m sure you can get 100 paid shills to tell you it’s density. However that 100% ignores that the U.S. has many many areas where the density is far above japan or europe (New York city, or just about any other city with a pop over 100k honestly - which is a f’n lot of them) - and these places don’t get speeds…

Here is a question for you Charlie - as an author yourself - do you think GRRM has put himself in a horrible position now where the show is off the book rails?
