On the crying baby - have a small supply of lollipops and sugar free lollipops - offer them to the parents. It’s amazing how quiet a kid becomes when sucking on a lolli. If the parent won’t accept - be gracious - but they are just as miserable as you are.

So... a bit offtopic but what are the odds we can get you guys to do a preview/writeup on firewatch... this game looks rather awesome and I’d love to know more!

It’s almost like a sitting president - with a congress that wouldn’t pass his ideas if they were handed down on gold tablets in person by an angel of the lord - can shape and frame debate points of the upcoming general election just by making a stance on something.

I just wanted to follow up with you and say thanks for a rational discussion, which is hard to find anywhere let alone the internet. I rarely take the time to dig into a topic and bother with a back and forth when the typical comment requesting more information is either to ignore it or to go silent.

Fair point - range not population. Poor choice of words. That still doesn’t invalidate my own point. Only one person gave a quote. Given the nature of quotes without actually having the paper itself who knows if the quote was even in correct context. The guy (monaghan) isn’t (to my knowledge) out raising the roof over

Eisen and Moore (2013) state specifically “In the absence of a systematic sampling effort, the distribution map for a given mosquito species may reflect the intensity of collection efforts rather than the true distribution of the mosquito itself; stated differently, it may best represent the distribution of mosquito

I don’t know based on available information. The last actual study seems to indicate the regular population based on the graphic posted above. Note the date - 1978.

You are correct - I misquoted - doing a simple google search shows that the mosquito has been found as far north as Alaska - and the chart is from the 70's - the fact that this thing has increased it’s range isn’t new information or really helpful, other than generating fear and ad revenue.

Not new information - already in those states as of the 70's - but yea! clickbait and spread the fear. Awesome way to prove you are capable of thinking.

From the WHO:

Considering that climate change has been blamed for prostitution (among other things) I find it amusing that you think just because a scientist says something and is willing to talk to media that the story merits being believable or factual.

“Hm, a warmer climate can allow tropical and subtropical pests, from insects to reptiles (HELLO SNAKES!) to expand their territory further northward, every year.”

Just so you know - around here if you point out that linking climate change to everything just gives people reason to ignore it - you are called a denier yourself. In 100 years when we look back and wonder how things got to the point that people distruted science and we emerge from our second ‘dark ages,’ the

Sharon Stone?

Just watched one last night... Try Kristi (title) - it’s on netflix. I won’t call it a masterpiece but it used phones and tech in a decent way that was plausable.

I picked up a similar looking unit for 60 bucks at my local B&M. A week worth of liquid is around 11 bucks - now cigarette free for over a month. Yes I don’t believe it’s 100% safer - but it’s way better than all the crap in cigs - and I no longer have a morning cough...

Thanks - never having played it I was really unsure what they were showing.

I don’t get it - what was the glitch?

You of course mean John Targaryen
