Considering that it's one pitcher of tea - and that doesn't seem so uncommon - could they be ignoring that his kidneys may have started dysfunction thus making the tea *that* much worse - where if he had been drinking water only it would have presented in some other way? Kidneys are like your body's filtration system

Thanks - at least the comment sparked a bit of discussion about the issue - I've always worried about leaks and the closed loop systems kind of made me think about it seriously (due to the thought that it shouldn't leak).

It's my understanding that the closed loop systems use a liquid that is not conductive so even if it leaks while the power is on - no blow up.

This entire thing shows me how many people have wildly crappy color settings set on their screens.

Um - yes it is - the fact that the FCC can classify anything as Title II is because congress wrote legislation giving them that power.

What is funny is the 'unaccountable, impenetrable bureaucracy' is directly accountable to congress for what it's allowed to do - don't like it - get your congress critter to vote it out - I'm pretty sure that one party controls the house and the Senate - who when working together could even disband the FCC if they

When I was a kid I used to wonder if what I perceived as (say) the color "blue" was in fact how others saw it.

Yes and Santa Claus is real.

Bad for you? Can be -much like anything - however the inventor spent over an hour in a nitrous filled room then huffed 20 additional *quarts* of the stuff and was fine.

First - I would say that if they wanted to be serious about saving money in health care they would create a standard for insurance claims. This currently doesn't exist - your hospital needs people and systems/forms software and associated overhead for every insurance carrier. Blue Cross is different than Humana,

Well the person in question (Doctorow interviewed here) has made that case - he makes a living as an author selling his books drm free - and pirates be dammed hes making money. GoG (good ol games) sells games drm free *only* - they are successful. Last time I checked mr. coffee was selling plenty of coffee makers

The cable modem when it first came out was spec'd to be the same bandwidth up and down - the reality is that it was much easier for the cable companies to cripple the upstream channels and thus gain a higher download speed without drastically altering their lines, equipment, and channel frequencies.

The point of the cat is that it's both. It's an oddity of quantum physics - another explanation (that is less real world and perhaps more palatable) would be 'close your eyes - now imagine that nothing exists until you open your eyes - the fact that you are viewing things is what causes them to be real'

So - considering the 'hottest year' was only hotter by a number so much smaller than the margin of error - how is this headline science and not political? Or did the headline 'Temperatures globally have averaged so close to the margin of error that it's been a flat line from 1998 onward' not make the correct point?

ROFL the public funded companies (regardless of actual business) have those cumbersome processes because 'teh publik' demands to know what the dollars are spent on and funding depends on them being able to audit that stuff.

Hah - no. I did grow up with a father who was a mechanical engineer, followed by a career in the IT industry - between the two I've got a lifetime of experience taking complicated ideas and turning them into servings of peanut butter on crackers for people. In this case I'm pretty sure I have specifics of the

Simplified:

"And make no mistake, these are decidedly core gamers. On average, respondents spent 18 hours gaming a week. These are not Kim Kardashian-loving, candy crushing soccer moms. These are, on average, 25 to 34-year-old men with full-time jobs making microtransactions inside premium console and free-to-play mobile

LOL male rape happens - the only (public) victim of rape when I went to high school was a guy - and it was other guys. He was not exactly a pushover either - thinking that the word has no context due to the gender of who you use it against is so wrong, and possibly traumatizing if the person actually has a past -

Again the skunk-works cost of the shell are already paid for - the difference in placing a shell on an American guts unit isn't even close to what you must think it is - the plastic outer shell is literally the cheapest part of the system.
