From what I could tell the Iphone 5 and galaxy 4 and up are both capable for working on any network correctly given the correct programming - that is they have the chips to work on the different networks so porting them around should be no problem. LOL even as popular as it is - only a fraction of a fraction of society has read the books - reading is still hardcore alternative. You get no edgy points for not liking a book - that's like not liking someones garage band - tastes differ.
And on a side note - we can make fuel for the machines necessary for large scale farming that doesn't require oil - the fact that we don't do so now is because oil is so cheap (due to the massive infrastructure already in place to process it) - someday we will use alternatives - just like we used to prior to oil.
