Not as bad as The Incredible Hulk.

I actually see Cavill’s Superman as this, only he’s trapped in Snyder’s universe, struggling to break out.

I don’t remember Jesus floating in the Bible wearing a red cape.

He won’t be the Punisher to me until he brutally kills a sex slave trafficker by slamming her against a shatterproof window until the frame breaks and she falls several stories to the ground.

All that counts is that you can’t stop me. I’m stronger than you, so I can do what I want. Isn’t that the way it works?”

I wonder will they be able to capture the “horror movie monster” aspect of Castle, especially seen in Garth Ennis’ run.

One of my favourite stories of his was ‘The Cell’ , the ending of which is just a fantastic display of the cold, relentless FURY Castle embodies, and the terror of the criminals when this thing is

I can certainly see Castle being a cop with previous involvement in special forces/Black Ops (even SHIELD? Or at least a history with them). I just hope his family aren’t killed intentionally and that they’re caught in the crossfire.

Not necessarily “cliched”, but I’d prefer if Frank’s family were killed completely randomly (no “we’ll kill your family if you speak about our activities, Castle” stuff) and unconnected to DD.

Where in the trailer does it imply that?

The newsreel shows another alternate reality different from ours.

“I almost didn’t recognise you with that accent, Theet!”

Regeneration, my good man.

Craig Ferguson for Drax.

again, we never see anyone getting killed. That’s the logic of these films, to some extent.

I wouldn’t say it was “cartoonish disregard” - in the Smallville battle he tells people to get inside and saves a soldier falling from a helicopter. It’s a Superman who is going to learn from his mistakes. It’s not perfect, we

What do you mean by ‘SINO’?

No evidence he killed anyone in that gas station. Not trying to be flippant or anything, just that we never see any bodies or hear any mention of people being killed.

Sorry, been a while since I saw the film: what happens in the gas station?

To be fair, Superman only hits him into a few cars and into a construction site - Zod is the one throwing him threw buildings.

He shows a little concern in Smallville, but yeah, flying there in the first place was reckless.

Yep. You could even had have had Zod realise what Superman is trying to do, stop, and start smashing up buildings. Show that Superman at least tried.

To be fair, how could he rescue them when he was busy with Zod?

Thinking about the film, perhaps Zod’s ship should’ve descended to Metropolis a few days earlier, allowing the city to be mostly evacuated. THEN the wholesale destruction wouldn’t have been so horrific.

Most of the criticism would’ve been mitigated by even a line like “I have to try and get him out of the city.”

“He didn’t know those people”

Then why is he a superhero?
