I'd put a mortgage payment on a wager that dude 100% was absolutely not looking out the windshield. Probably asleep in the backseat.

True that. Trump’s Covid response is great example

I think it helps that it’s not even available in the US so him praising it wouldn’t really hurt Ford’s bottom line domestically.

If this is what $25-$35k Chinese EV looks like; then yes, sign me up.

Agreed wholeheartedly. I’ve always thought Farely seems like he would run a pretty good car company if the goddam shareholders would let him. I’m choosing to believe these quotes are him campaigning for that right.

I knew a guy that was former Tesla working on Apple car. Def have whatever engineering they need to do it. But it’s a product that will be almost impossible to make money on in the U.S. market. TSLA still doesn’t make money without government help.

What’s crazier is that Apple tried it and failed and left that market.

Small correction to the headline, but Xiaomi doesn’t build it, they contract that to BAIC who are an actual car company that has been around for decades. Still it’s kinda crazy that a smartphone company designed a car, and their first go at it is apparently really good. I wonder how much BAIC helped in that regard.

Sorry, bro. They would rant & rave that you’re a socialist lib after the very first sentence of your first bullet point. Then rationalize a fictional conspiracy to shout out any further facts.

The cause of the explosion is unclear because no Boeing employee, current or former, wants to comment for fear of being unalived.

Thank you for reminding me how awful the narrated version was.

Blade Dumber

Triple negative technically. But you’re right - the result is the sentence means that author thinks the car is ugly.

Both were sales failures in North America, in particular the Phaeton. Who wants a 100K VW instead of a BMW or Mercedes.

Right. I just spent dang near $50K on a VW Golf. It’s not a “people’s car.”

The guided missile equivalent of what Tesla is doing with FSD:

I always thought GM’s super cruse was an interesting solution where they’d scan highways to build such a “visual” at least in terms of the roadway. I’m guessing that scanning equipment must be expensive and it’s definitely very bulky. If I were GM, I’d be working towards a way to fit consumer cars with scanning tech

wanna know what’s more BIZARRE?  Teslas HAD radar and Elon removed it, maybe in a flex that he could get AI to be able to replicate vision through cameras, instead of using radar/lidar to confirm what AI vision is “seeing”.  That’s just hubris.
