This new rendition of the RHPS is so bad on so many levels. I just finished watching it and its a total, absolute mess. The actors are miscasted. A transgendered woman, Laverne Cox, as the Sweet Transvestite? Dr. Frank-N-Furter refers to "himself" as a sweet transvestite in the eponymous song, but as the movie

Dude, you need to check your information, because Ms. Cox has never said whether she's pre or post-op. That said, unless you see under someone's skirt, you don't know if she is pre or post. There are some very passable pre-opt transsexuals and some very hard , manly looking post-opt transsexuals. Whatever Ms. Cox

ROTFLMAO!

What I meant is that Laverne Cox is not a particularly spectacular looking pre-opt trans woman. Yes, I know, NYC is changing and a lot of places that catered to the LGBTQ community are closing or

The movie's biggest flaw is to cast Laverne Cox as Dr. Frank-N-Furter. The moment that I saw the trailer, I shook my head. As the critic notes: "the flawless-queen aesthetic doesn’t make sense in this context." Also, this is a personal dislike, but I don't like her soulified interpretation of "Sweet Transvestite."
