Tipping improves service. That's why it exists. Workers should be paid a fair wage and THEN you tip.
Thats interesting because white brown, and black do this too. I wonder what's the common thread?
Hey, if Xu inadvertently destroys trust in tipping and reduces the wages of those who need it most, that's just part of "changing the world".
Your ignorance of competitive walking is abhorant.
I’de be down for the Guillotine for VAR reviews that turned out not to be “clear and obvious”. Culturally appropriate and timely.
You know the guy in the booth just draws those lines based on lining up parallel lines, there is nothing sacred about them. There is nothing to prevent them from being a degree or two off.
The rules live and die by the center ref. No amount of crutches is going to change that. Women’s refereeing has been OK; with exception of VAR, which is a big improvement from previous world cups.
Offside is “clear and obvious” the French goal was “clear and obvious” to be a goal. 50% success rate. Is that good to you?
The referee has ultimate say over the time TO MAKE TIMEWASTING LESS EASY. Otherwise players would take advantage of a hard clock. Challenges make no sense either. It can be 10 minutes before their is a stop in play. We are going to play 10 minutes and then go back?
Yeah, that just wouldn’t work.
Actually it was one thing. The clock does stop (time is added on) and they are not supposed to overturn unless its “clear cut” or “clear and obvious”.
Just no, this just isn’t true. This is a 50 50 ball, both the player and keeper have every right TO MAKE A PLAY ON THE BALL. Ball goes off keepers hand, onto attackers head and into the net. That’s the way the ball bounces. There is no, “well that is not fair” rewind.
Yeah, hockey has the best replay reviews. Mostly because they don’t allow judgement calls to be judged a second time. Basketball is OK because they don’t try to do to much with it. Slow down every other NBA scoring play and you can find some violation by both teams.
Refs have no experience and VAR refs have no common sense and FIFA. Just FIFA really.
Or you could just watch the game and see that it never hit her shoulder and bounced off her head.
The point is, that if people can disagree about it, there is supposed to be only one official who makes the call, the person who is in the best position to make that call, or if they completely missed it, defer to the lineswoman or VAR official. Instead we have decisions by committee coming up with ridiculous changes…
This is complete BS.
Its so stupid that the sideline ref doesn’t raise the flag right away if they are judged offside. The center still has to whistle. The sideline raises the flag and the center just lets play go on in case the decision is wrong unless it was obvious. If there’s a second offside just raise your second hand.
Sorry, excuses excuses excuses. Refereeing has been awful when it comes to VAR decisions. It seems like 3/4 of VAR decisions either validate a wrong call or overcome a right call or are just ridiculous. I have yet to even see a missed call on the filed caught be VAR. The men’s world cup, while not perfect, didn’t have…
