The rule is not “overly harsh”. It’s a rule. That’s like saying you can’t pick up the ball and run with it is “overly harsh”. “overly harsh” is when a judgement decision is made. E.g. that red card was “overly harsh” because there was no intent to injure.

We just need to adjust and celebrate goals as soon as the other team kicks it off.
