Quickly-cooking chicken breasts and pork chops are great for weeknight meals — except when they turn out as dry and flavorless as shoe leather. Brining has become my saving grace! It’s a way of ensuring juiciness and adding flavor, and unlike turkey and corned beef that need to soak for days, these thin cuts will

Jaret Leto already mentioned he wants to play Squirtle and has been sending everyone gallons of water, because that’s his thing.

It’s “fast-paced-blogging”, so I don’t mind the regular screw-ups. What really pisses me off to no end is when they don’t bother to correct their mistakes after being called out on it.

Was gonna say the same thing. This is gawker though so you can’t expect the author being bothered to fact check his wild speculations before publishing.

I didn’t think anyone could confuse Rick Ross with Will Smith, but you’ve done it.

I actually loved the soundtrack. Kind of reminded me of the same feeling It Follows was trying to convey with it.

I found the soundtrack to be fucking fantastic. HUGE Mass Effect 1 vibe:

Overall a good summary despite the headline does not fit. The series has a lot of substance, it’s just that yes, a lot of it is a bit like a melange of things from the past, but very well done and brought together to form something own unique feeling and great, so i quite liked it.

The soundtrack actually didn’t do much for me.

The thing to keep in mind about Bran’s time travelling is that it is (apparently) fully deterministic: Hodor had his seizure years “before” Bran was born, and the scenario leading to his seizure takes his impaired self into account.

I think its hilarious when “book readers” get upset about the show “ruining things” by adding parts to the books that are literally in the books if you’d actually read them and remembered them.

Yeah, but what does George Orwell know about literary criticism that a Gawker writer doesn’t?

Because she couldn’t be bothered to read up about it and try to understand it, she only copied someone else’s opinion. That’s called blogging!

God, io9 has gone downhill. This whole dumb article, like almost everything on Gawker these days, is just narcissistic virtue signaling. You know these idiot writers get giddy every time an opportunity arises to indicate to their mass audience how not-racist, not-sexist, not-homophobic, anti-imperialist and

“Reminder: Rudyard Kipling Was a Racist Fuck and The Jungle Book Is Imperialist Garbage.”
