Any word on the next iteration of Note having expandable memory and (dare I hope) a removable battery? I’ve deliberately skipped on getting the Note 5 because of those lack of features and I’d kind of like to see Samsung put them both back in for the next go around.

Goddamit, not another one. I swear, every other day, it’s like some big name writer, actor, musician, or artist up and croaks. We haven’t even finished February yet and there’s been how many deaths?

Oh, you sweet summer child...

Not a great plan.

If they have something you want, headshots. If they’ve got nothing you want, nuke’em.

Wrong Manning.

Damn you. That is like a punch to the balls. You know it’s going to hurt, you know it’s going to make the toughest guys cry. You are correct, but you suck.

I’m sure the Vikings would agree with her.

Theory #25: Two people who had sex a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away whose kid hit the lottery of awesome/terrible powers, with no prior association to any established characters in the Star Wars films, books, or goddawful TV specials.

Conventions are a venue to consider, to be sure, though they can be kind of hit-or-miss. Phoenix Comic-Con (in my neighborhood) has been building up a writing track the last few years, not quite at the point of a full blown workshop yet. Couple years ago, they had Michael A. Stackpole run a one hour workshop for like

“Sacrifice” is a very value-laden term. For me, “sacrifice” as a practical matter is what I can afford to undertake in terms of time and money that lets me still make rent, keeps the lights on, and satisfies my unusual need to eat sometime this month. I get that these kind of workshops work best for somebody in

It’s cool these are out there, but I get the feeling these are for semi-established writers instead of folks trying to make a change in their career. Six weeks off work is a lot of time, with at least part of that not being paid vacation.

If I can’t have the grit of Master & Commander and the joyous melodies of HMS Pinnafore in my sailing games, then what’s the point? :)

Out of morbid curiosity, what are the most popular servers? There seems to be bugger all in determining how popular (and populated) they are, and a three hour login time for an MMO is just plain scandalous.

Lot of dust on this board all of a sudden. Damned onion dust....that’s the ticket....

What? No love for “The Last Guardian?”

I haven’t asked anybody out since college. Yes, it was thrilling and yes, it was stupid, and yes, it ended up turning into a trainwreck. Online has been the preferred venue, with reasonably productive results. Introduction by friends has been exceedingly rare and has kinda gone pear-shaped fast.

I’ve got that objective, but there’s not a special chair that I’m seeing in the buildable furniture for the settlement. What am I missing?

You had me at “Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie.”
